Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter For Laptop

I bought Waves NX Head Tracker to use it with Logic Pro X in a Mac Pro Mid 2010 OS El Capitan and Bluetooth 2.1 I needed Bluetooth 4.0, so I bought this StarTech adapter. Plugged into my computer, but it was not recognized as BT 4.0. Then I downloaded Hardware_IO_Tools_for_Xcode_7.3.dmg, and installed Bluetooth Explorer in the Applications folder. Opened it, Tools menu and choose HCI Controller Selector, I clicked at the arrows and selected Broadcom Corp and clicked Activate. Done My computer recognized the StarTech adapter as Bluetooth 4, and I was able to use my excellent Waves NX Head Tracker.

Bluetooth pairs well with Windows or Linux on my laptop, and the USB adapter provides reliable fallback. The mouse fits my large hands, feels solid, and responds smoothly.

Mini USB Bluetooth® 4.0 Adapter is a fantastic product! Better working range than other Bluetooth receivers/transmitters. Works great with Sony MDR-10R after checking ALL of the configuration for USBBT1EDR4. You MUST install ONLY the last version of the CSR Harmony software; if you have an older version installed, you MUST uninstall the older version first. The new version unfortunately does not include drivers for all of the older transmitters and you can't have more than one version installed at the same time. I highly recommend this product.

I have an ASUS x553m laptop that was not Bluetooth ready. This has solved my need for bluetooth capability so that I can see my misfit activity tracker information.

It's a good little SSD, just an extra terabyte of storage for gaming on my laptop. Good speed, and I don't really have to worry about the thermal-issues that can arise from putting a 4.0/5.0 NVME in an enclosed laptop chassis. (The differences between 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 SSDs are negligible when it comes to everything besides transfer of large files)

The Crucial 4TB P3 Plus NVMe PCIe 4.0 M.2 Internal SSD was used as an upgrade to my Razer Blade 15, 2020 Base model. This laptop has TWO slots, so I had no issue during installation of the upgraded SSD. At first launch, I had no issue with my laptop recognizing the new hardware. After utilizing disk management and formatting the SSD, I was ready to go. No complaints here! Shipping experience was pleasant during the holiday season; arrived on time.

This laptop is cheap and has great potential. I would recommend installing at least one PCIe 4.0x4 SSD, because the motherboard definitely supports two PCIe 4.0x4 SSDs and the basic SSD this laptop ships with is awfully slow. I would also recommend upgrading to the optional QHD screen (Part N156KME-GNA), because FHD is obsolete now
