Host controllers (in contrast to hubs) do better in certain ways, For example, when using software to burn to multiple CD drives. The card has a port to plug in SATA power; they explain this is to give it added power (I believe for charging - not sure if for general operation), but it works fine even without it - at least for standard operation to devices that have wall power. 5 |

You may want to consider a Bluetooth adapter for your headphones rather than this. They are harder to loose and more convenient. 5 |
