This Xcellon 3-in-1 HDMI Multiport Adapter is great for everyday use. It mostly lives with my MacBook Pro and gives me an extra USB type- A connection and allows me to hook up a 4k HDMI monitor. It's lightweight and it survived my 2-year-old throwing it off my table onto a tile floor. The connection is snug and I don't feel like it would easily fall out. I tested it out with a Ben Q 4k monitor and an older Lenovo 1080p monitor and it worked great with both. I also like that it is bus-powered and worked immediately without having to install any drivers or software. This adapter is no-frills and does exactly what it needs to. This adapter works perfectly for connecting a DSLR to an external monitor. I've had several cables (miniHDMI to HDMI) completely fall apart and I needed something reliable. The great thing about the adapter is that it rotates to whatever degree works best for the HDMI cable running out to the monitor. Plus, you can usually find regular HDMI cables a whole lot easier than miniHDMI to HDMI cables.

I really like this monitor; but, I do want to add that if you are going from a VGA connector to the HDMI connection I found I had to have a HDMI mini adapter for the HDMI as my graphic board only had a small HDMI input...perhaps this will help someone in the future.

My old ProArt monitor - same exact model - had HDMI + DVI inputs which allowed my older Mac to connect. Now they have dropped the DVI. I contacted the chat at ASUS to ask if I could get an adapter DVI to HDMI to use with the new monitor and they told me it wouldn't work. I bought an adapter connector anyway and it works fine. So you can use this monitor with an older Mac. Why they dropped the DVI and kept the VGA is strange.

I'm assembling a cost effective DSLR video rig and wanted a field monitor to compensate for my declining vision. I did some extensive research as I tend to, and came upon the Lilliput A7S. It fell within my budget and met my basic requirements... The ability to see if I am in focus or not. It also exceeded some of my needs such as an HDMI in AND out, multiple battery adapters, a protective case and a sun hood. It has a great picture and very user-friendly controls. I read that the shoe mount adapter is sub par, so I ordered the REVO adapter, which works great for mounting it to my ALVO rig. My only issue, to no fault of the monitor, the provided HDMI cable slightly interferes with my left grip. I remedied this with an HDMI right-angle replacement. Although this was a recent purchase, I am already very satisfied with the investment. Highly recommended.

I use this HDMI cable to connect my LCD monitor to my BMPCC via a micro HDMI adapter. It's perfect for that because it allows me to not have to worry about extra slack hanging around the camera and getting caught on something. I'm able to adjust the angle of the monitor on my EVF mount with plenty of room to spare. I'm glad I paid a little more for this higher quality cable.

We were hooking up an HDMI TV as a second monitor on a PC that had DisplayPort, this cable was perfect. It was the length we needed and avoided having to use an adapter from the DisplayPort on the PC to change to HDMI. Highly recommend use of this cable over a double ended HDMI cable and an adapter.

If youre looking for a good portable monitor that wont break the bank, this is for you. As a video engineer, Im always running 1-200 HDSDI cables and troubleshooting HDMI runs and other video needs. I was slightly hesitant in purchasing this since getting any information on it was practically impossible, but Im glad I went through with it. As far as resolutions, I have seen 1080p 29.97/59.94/60 and 1080i 29.97. It pretty much does everything that I need it to do for testing on my day to day in the field, especially when it is paired with the battery pack adapter (sold seperately). I opted for the one for the Canon, but you can get a Sony adapter as well. Other than the bottom right screw hole on the adapter hitting the fan guard, it fit perfectly (I just removed it from the adapter and added locktight on the remaining three). As far as scopes go, I wasnt too pleased, but its not intended for that kind of work, so I cant really dog it. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack so you can monitor any audio coming down the pipe, or in a pinch, you can use it as a audio de-embedder for HDSDI or HDMI (been there and it worked in a pinch). The test patterns are solid and good to have built in, the touch screen is responsive and the fact that you can activly convert HDMI HDSDI and vise versa is another win. Overall I am completely happy with this product and if you are on the fence about purchasing it, just do it, the return policy from B&H is hassle-free, but I doubt you will need it.
