Bluetooth Headphones That Look Like Sony Walkman
Sandy | 2024-09-22 01:21:27 |
This is an easy review for me because this is my 9th Sony Walkman. This walkman holds 20-25 books from your library that will never expire.. Connect them to a speaker and you can clean your house, or take a walk and listen quietly while you can’t sleep with earbuds. I’m amazed these aren’t flying off the shelf and big tech companies aren’t updating these wonders. 5 |

For a Portable Walkman I still like the NW-WS 6xx series to be able to flip from Bluetooth to local file Mp3 for when I want stories or music without a phone and hands free. The units tend to fail around 14 months so I now buy the extended warranty and its worth every penny. 5 |

Quite a bit like the old original Sony Walkman, only this seems more solidly built. I put in an old cassette, plugged in headphones and it works great! Wow/flutter not noticeable. And the price is very reasonable... back in 1981 the Sony Walkman cost over $100... so this costing $105 in 2024 is really quite a good deal! There's no noise reduction or bass boost, but that didn't seem to be a problem when I listened to a tape. And the volume control has lots of gain, setting it at a comfortable listening volume I barely had it turned up. I'm thinking of figuring out an adaptor cord to see if I can plug the headphone jack into the RCA plugs on my stereo (where I'll be able to add some equalization if needed). 5 |

It's rare seeing a pair of headphones that genuinely shine in almost every regard. But with the WH-1000XM3, Sony has created an indisputable winner, a categorically top-notch set of cans whose only shortcoming is the absence of 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, something we hardly ever see outside of the gaming market. They do have Bluetooth, though, so as long as you have a smart TV, an Nvidia Shield, a gaming laptop, or a Bluetooth-capable motherboard, you should be set for the reclusive world of active noise canceling. Unlike other noise-canceling headphones, the WH-1000XM3 use an unusually silent QN1 HD noise-canceling processor. In our testing, we found it was able to keep out most sounds, even on the crowded New York City subway. The battery does take a hit for this, but you can take solace in the fact that the WH-1000XM3 last 30 hours fully charged. After 10 minutes of being plugged in via USB-C, Sony claims they can deliver pristine high fidelity sound over five hours. And, to top it all off, volume and playback commands are touch-based. Goodbye forever, inline controls. Image 1 of 6 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I've owned my fair share of Bluetooth headphones, none of them have had ANC and, honestly, I wasn't sure if I really needed a noise cancelling feature at all in my headphones. I most often listen to music while at home where it's relatively quiet, anyway. But I was excited anyway to finally try out the noise cancelling capabilities of these Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones, and I couldn't be more impressed. Even when I'm just in my bedroom listening to music, these headphones dull the sound of my noisy air purifier and bring the music into crystal-clear focus. These are great sounding headphones, but it's the ANC and attention to design and detail that really make for an impressive listening experience. With other Bluetooth headphones I've owned, even the ones that had good sound quality, I've always felt like I need to turn up my music really loud in order to properly "feel" it, which was probably terrible for my hearing health. But even at lower volumes, these Sony headphones sound clear and vibrant. The 360 Reality audio capability is really awesome as well. I set it up with my Tidal HiFi subscription and played one of my favorite albums I've heard a hundred times, yet I swear I was hearing details and depth in the music that I had never heard before. And what's even better is that these headphones have all these great features while keeping them super easy to use and super comfortable to wear. I usually wear glasses, and typically glasses plus headphones equals massive headache after more than a few minutes of use, but these Sony headphones put no pressure on my glasses. The headband doesn't dig into the top of my head either, like other headphones often do on me. This level of comfort, in combination with long battery life, means that I can use these for many hours with zero worries, just pure focus on the music. What more could you want? 5 |

After researching for a good pair of bluetooth headphones and finally committed to the Sony WH-1000XM3. Sound quality is amazing while doing a great job canceling out any noise. Touch controls seem to work flawlessly and battery life is great. I would definitely recommend these to anyone. 5 |

Like many others here, I have had my fare share of headphones at least 3 brands including Sony but this beats all of them hands down, perfect for audio work if you want to hear details in your sound, of course B&H like always unbeatable price, fast free delivery and great service. 5 |
