Bluetooth Headset Adapter For Home Phone

I'm using this mostly as a phone headset with a Fiio bluetooth adapter, for work teleconferences, but I also use it to listen to tunes. It works far better than it should for music, and it's comfortable. Very nice.

The headset does exactly what I want it to do. Great headset for working from home on the phone a lot.

Was gifted a Poly wireless headset. But needed the Bluetooth adapter for it to work with my work computer. I had to disable the computer Bluetooth but after that this little adapter can reach around my whole house. I have even answered calls from my kitchen while cooking lunch. I like to use wired earphones with my mobile phone - just to keep things simple (Bluetooth is nice, and I have a superior Bluetooth headset, but sometimes it can get glitchy and I have to remember to charge it, etc.) I got a pair of these at B&H and decided it would be handy to have a spare in the bedroom... so I got another and, in addition got a pair for my sister to use with her phone.

It works, but it's odd how the volume seems muted from the Rode mic vs using a bluetooth headset or the built in mic on the phone.

This headset supports connectivity via USB for use as a PC headset and via Bluetooth for use with cell phone calls. The base makes it easy to switch between PC and Bluetooth. The bluetooth connection is between the base and the cell phone, with DECT to the headset. So you leave the phone on your desk and take the headset with you if you want to walk around. DECT has much better range than Bluetooth and is not affected by microwave ovens or WiFi, so calls are clear and consistent at all times.

For 2 years, I have been using the Jabra Evolve 65 headset that pairs to a PC via bluetooth adapter. While the audio quality is excellent with the Evolve 65, when speaking on my corporate VoIP UC application, my range was limited to bluetooth ranges. The audio quality drops off sharply within 20 feet, and does not penetrate my household walls, doors, glass windows, etc. I could not comfortably walk into the kitchen or restrooms with the bluetooth transmission ranges. When I purchased this new headset, all of my range limitations went away! The DECT wireless allows me to go anywhere in my house, or even outside to the mailbox without interrupting the audio quality of my work. I work from home full-time, and the Engage 75 is the first headset that keeps me working and audible anywhere I wander around my home.

I have a Moto Z Force phone with a USB-C connector. I purchased the SC3 adapter and I have a USB to 3.5mm adapter. I could not get this mic to work with my phone. I am not sure whether this is the phone or the mic but most likely it is the phone since this is specifically designed to work with a phone headset and I have to go through two adapters to get to USB-C. It seems to be well constructed and Rode has an excellent reputation therefore I am giving it 5 stars and letting you know that it won't likely work with a phone without a headset jack even with adapters.

I work from home and needed a phone that could connect to my desk phone, my softphone and my cell phone. This headset does it all. Its comfortable and the mute button on the mic is very easy to access.

This headset is perfect for working at home, the phone system with my jobs allows us to receive our work phone calls on our cell phones and this device allows me to talk these calls hands free so that I can type and help my tech's and vendors. Great headset
