Bluetooth Headset For Work Phone

I'm using this mostly as a phone headset with a Fiio bluetooth adapter, for work teleconferences, but I also use it to listen to tunes. It works far better than it should for music, and it's comfortable. Very nice.

I like to use wired earphones with my mobile phone - just to keep things simple (Bluetooth is nice, and I have a superior Bluetooth headset, but sometimes it can get glitchy and I have to remember to charge it, etc.) I got a pair of these at B&H and decided it would be handy to have a spare in the bedroom... so I got another and, in addition got a pair for my sister to use with her phone.

It works, but it's odd how the volume seems muted from the Rode mic vs using a bluetooth headset or the built in mic on the phone.

This headset supports connectivity via USB for use as a PC headset and via Bluetooth for use with cell phone calls. The base makes it easy to switch between PC and Bluetooth. The bluetooth connection is between the base and the cell phone, with DECT to the headset. So you leave the phone on your desk and take the headset with you if you want to walk around. DECT has much better range than Bluetooth and is not affected by microwave ovens or WiFi, so calls are clear and consistent at all times.

For 2 years, I have been using the Jabra Evolve 65 headset that pairs to a PC via bluetooth adapter. While the audio quality is excellent with the Evolve 65, when speaking on my corporate VoIP UC application, my range was limited to bluetooth ranges. The audio quality drops off sharply within 20 feet, and does not penetrate my household walls, doors, glass windows, etc. I could not comfortably walk into the kitchen or restrooms with the bluetooth transmission ranges. When I purchased this new headset, all of my range limitations went away! The DECT wireless allows me to go anywhere in my house, or even outside to the mailbox without interrupting the audio quality of my work. I work from home full-time, and the Engage 75 is the first headset that keeps me working and audible anywhere I wander around my home.

Was gifted a Poly wireless headset. But needed the Bluetooth adapter for it to work with my work computer. I had to disable the computer Bluetooth but after that this little adapter can reach around my whole house. I have even answered calls from my kitchen while cooking lunch. As a supervisor of a Police Motorcycle unit, I was searching for a Bluetooth devise I could utilize in conjunction with my radio headset & these OpenMove work great!! They have survived several heavy thunderstorms & full 8 hour shifts without a single hiccup. I executed a lengthy search for the correct Bluetooth headset/earbuds to hold up to the vibration of a Harley Davidson & wearing for a complete shift comfortably & able to hold up to the rigorous atmosphere of everyday outdoor weather!!! I bought these for an employee to be used with Avaya phone with Bluetooth module. They work well.
