Bluetooth Lap Keyboard

I was suspicious that 17 lap top might be too big, but I ended up loving the big display and how keyboard leaves room for hands to rest while typing. Heat comes from sides and above keyboard making keyboard cool, as for the lap it gets hot when using demanding GPU work. Performance and design 10/10.

Really liking this case and keyboard so far. Expensive but recommend. Nice that it sits off it and can work with it in your lap.

I recently signed up for Xfinity Mobile’s iPad service along with a new iPad Air 4. I immediately went searching for a keyboard case that (1.) would protect it from breakage if it fell and (2.) would fit on my lap comfortably. (I am handicapped with a stroke. I‘m now limited to one hand and a wheelchair. I fumbled my old iPad and cracked the screen.) I found a very expensive competitor’s keyboard case that fit the first criteria, but it did not fit on my lap at all—too long. I found the ZAAG Pro Keys Keyboard Case. It looked just right. After I ordered it, I found it to be a perfect fit for my needs stemming from my handicap. I even fumbled it, dropping it to the floor, and “no damage”! Great job ZAAG! Perfect! So well made! I love the Apple Pencil storage, the illuminated keys, and its many other features. I put the competitor’s case on Craig’s List, but nobody wants it! :-(

Good keyboard. It adds some extra weight to the iPad and it’s tricky to balance on the lap but works well.

My ipad is older and my Apple keyboard wasn’t working. I didn’t want to invest the money for a new Apple Smart keyboard which was very lightweight for use in my lap. I use my ipad a lot in the evening while watching TV and it is in my lap. So, the ZAGG keyboard works very well. It is quick to the touch, wakes up quickly, and no complaints with performance. I will have to charge it at some point which I didn’t have to do with my Smart Keyboard. My only complaint is it is more protection and weight than I like. My lightweight ipad now weighs a lot more with this heavy case, which I didn’t care about. But it solved my problem and hopefully will last the remaining life of my iPad Pro 9.7.

I have been really enjoying this case. I love the look and feel of a laptop computer with my IPAD and this case delivers. The case fits like a glove and completely protects my device. All ports are easy to access. I work in a medical clinic and often times need to have this resting on my lap but all other cases I have tried topple over or slide off my lap but NOT this one. There is a little bit of delay with getting the keyboard activated if I haven’t been using it for awhile but doesn’t bother me and it’s really only like 2-3 seconds. The backlit function is nice and not too overwhelming when you are in the dark, 3 sets with this and multiple colors. Pencil fits in quite snugly so I don’t have to worry about losing it. The keyboard is very easy to type on which is a must for me.

Works well. I like that the keyboard charges with the iPad. A little challenge to balance iPad with keyboard on lap. Typing with iPad on a surface works fine. The cover is attractive.

Read the fine print. This uses Bluetooth LE, and that requires an iPad3 or better. After wondering why it didn't work with either iPad2 here, I found that tidbit (which I had missed) in the fine print, hemmed, hawed, and opted to upgrade the iPad side of the system. It is a quality product, which on the one hand seems quite pricey for what is effectively a 2 button bluetooth keyboard, but on the other hand is much better made than whatever I might kludge up from a cheaper bluetooth keyboard with many more keys. The keys are lit, soft, and silent, and the device is considerably more affordable than some others in its niche - and with the keys on top, not over the edge, it works fine on carpets (some reviews indicate that is a weakness of some competing devices.) For hands-free page turning it really is ideal. Intended for foot operation, it is a bit larger than you'd expect from the pictures.
