Bluetooth Microphone For Sony Car Stereo

Exactly what I needed to connect headphones and auxiliary in (like car stereo) to my iPhone when I don’t want to use Bluetooth. Works as it should.

After doing research for a basic stereo receiver I chose the Sony STR-DH190 due to the impressive list of features including the phono input, Bluetooth, and the higher wattage output versus other similar receivers. I have attached my recently restored turntable to the receiver as well as a CD player and the sound is just fantastic! I particularly enjoy the ability to activate the receiver via Bluetooth from my smartphone and immediately begin streaming music - a great feature! Overall the Sony STR-DH190 is an excellent value and I use it every day.

I bought this about a month ago to replace a 34 year old (!) Sony Stereo receiver. The old one had AM-FM receiver capability. This one only has FM Receiver built-in, but it sounds a lot cleaner than the older model. This one has fewer output jacks than my older one, but is more than adequate for my setup (Sony Stereo Cassette Deck - going on 20 years now also !), and a bluetooth Audio-Technica Record Player. This model also contains the regular size headphone jack AND a standard audio output jack on the front for older style cassette players, walkman's, etc. Very unusual feature but useful for me as I still use some of that older gear from time to time. I primarily bought and use this product for its bluetooth capability which works excellently. I have my phone, and computer able to play music to it through bluetooth. I realize bluetooth specs don't carry the full frequency range for a lot of audio musical pieces (such as classical music), but for the everyday average pop music it's just fine. This is a great entry level unit for a person who is not an audio-phile. I also bought this because of Sony durability in its products. This thing is built like a brick. Good design accents, solid metal frame, heavy duty components. I will always buy Sony products - good balance between cost, design, and functionality. Couldn't be happier with this product.

Works very nicely with the Sony a6400. It is better than the mono gun microphone as this is stereo

I got his camcorder few months ago. There is nothing to complain except I just read the reviews here. I am really surprise with 2 or 3 reviews that complain about the stutter issue. Please can you guys repeat and explain again in detail stutter like what? I have video using a tripod in a night club (my in-law birthday party) which also means lots of people passed by and running around as well. I use the wire remote to zoom in and out. I never feel or see any issue that you guys complain about. May be those are lemon ones? I am mr. Sony (LOL) all my toys are from Sony: car stereo, car amplifier, home stereo, TV, camera, camcorder, headphone for over 50 years of my life. Not one problem. I love Sony for their product and their price as well. With this new camcorder I am very happy, by the way I just upgrade from my old Sony camcorder HDR-CX700V, which I also dearly love it. There is only one minor issue which is this Sony AX53 is a little big, wish Sony made it smaller just like the HDR-CX700V that I am used to. Besides that there is nothing to complain about this new gem.

A really solid, wonderful stereo microphone.

It is difficult to find stereo lavalier microphone and I am really glad Sony did it. At this price point, I found the sound is surprisingly good. I connect them to Zoom H6 with a stereo plug-in power injector. It comes with foam to reduce wind noise. But in my work, I need a hairy windjammer. So, I sewed two Rycote Lavalier Windjammer together and attached to Sony ECM-LV1. It works perfectly. As this microphone requires plug-in power, you probably need to connect it directly to a camera, or a plug-in power injector with stereo support. I found it is quite difficult to find a good quality PIP injector which support stereo sound. Since this is a stereo microphone, if the microphone is not positioned correctly, its stereo image could be difficult to postprocess. But this is not a unique problem to Sony ECM-LV1. It is true for all stereo lavalier microphone. The clip is rotatable (snaps at 0, 90, 180, and 270 degree). But is a bit on the loose side, plasticky, and it cannot be removed. Overall, given this price point, I really like the sound quality of the microphone. It beat many microphones with similar price range.

The Sony ECM-XYST1M Stereo Microphone easily fit my Sony Handycam HDR-CX900. There was a big improvement in recorded audio over the internal multidirectional microphone. The audio is clearer with a higher signal to noise ratio. I would recommend this product.

I read all about the other camcorder microphones out there but this one suited my needs the best. Most add-on camcorder microphones such as the Videomic are not stereo. The few good-quality mics that are stereo are very expensive and too large. This often over-looked stereo microphone has superb sound, is very small, rugged and also lightweight. I use the Pro-24CM mounted with a cold shoe adapter on my Sony HDR-SR11 and the sound is CD-quality. I shoot promotional videos for musicians and the sound with this mic is superb. For under $100 you cannot find a camcorder microphone with better sound or build quality. Be sure to turn the ALC off and the mic setting to Low level on the Sony SR11/12 series cameras for recording live music with this microphone.

Purchased this unit specifically for the bluetooth wireless format for my AX-100 Sony 4K camera microphone input. I also have a Sony bluetooth pair ECM-W1M where the receiver is mounted on the Multi-Interface shoe. This ECM-AW4 is very flexible because you can use it with the cameras microphone input jack which I need on my other cams that don't have a Multi-Interface shoe. Another great thing is that these units can be just used as a wireless communication device with another person. The sound quality is great and the range and speed of connection is very good. Battery life is also very good.
