Bluetooth Mouse Side Scroll

I have never encountered a mouse that is as comfortable to hold than this one. Battery life is phenomenal. Side buttons and scroll wheel are much improved over the standard G Pro. It is worth the extra for sure. 5 |

As the headline says. I like the scroll wheel too. I use it at a workstation w/o room for a mouse. 5 |

In a touch screen digital world, switching from Logitech MX Master mouse to Kensington Expert felt like going Back to the Future. I gave myself 7 days to work only on Kensington Expert Mouse. The tactile feedback of a large ball turned out to be extremely satisfying experience. The feature I've used the most on MX Mater, and I thought I would not have on Expert Mouse was a thumb-wheel function, which was setup to switch between the 3 virtual desktop screens I have on my Mac. Quickly I've discovered that the top buttons on the Expert Mouse are perfect replacement for my MX master thumb-wheel. I've also programmed top buttons to run Expose when pressed simultaneously - the feature I used on MX Mater with a thumb button. Now the biggest issue was a middle mouse click.. but it turned out to be as simple as programming two bottom buttons acting as the one, when pressed both at the same time. The big bonus is that if one needs to use buttons to perform different actions, one can do so. Kensington software allows per application button customization. I would consider all mentioned above as pros for this product.. now few if any cons - the scroll ring needs a redesign. At first I thought that I may have a faulty item, but watching couple of videos on the internet, I've found out that that gritty feeling is due to the ring design implementation. It's true.. the grittiness fades with use, but it's still far cry from a silk-smooth operation of MX Master scroll wheels. Minor cons is a somewhat high profile of the Expert Mouse. I have a large hand, so this is no issue for me at all. I'm looking forward to get the Kensington SlimBlade, which in my mind would eliminate high profile and gritty scroll ring. Overall.. if your desk keyboard/mouse space is limited, or you want to discover what you were missing all these years, using regular mouse - trackballs are way to go. Especially if you have a full size keyboard. Excellent product - highly recommended. 5 |

This mouse is a must have for anyone working with a 3D program that requires a middle mouse button. At first glance the mouse looks like any other mouse with a scroll wheel. Look closer. Between the left and right button is a real middle mouse button needed for navigating 3D space in most programs. Using a clickable scroll wheel instead of a real mouse button just doesn't work for me. The activation force required for clicking a scroll wheel is cramp inducing and it's too easy to accidentally scroll (zoom) at the same time. The CadMouse solves this problem with the extra button. I have a 3Dconnexion Space Mouse as well, so I don't know how I missed this gem. It's perfect for 3D on its own or as a Space Mouse companion. Thanks 3Dconnxion! 5 |

As a long-time laptop user, I initially purchased Apple's Magic Trackpad 2 for my new computer. It didn't live up to my expectations, so I ended up getting a mouse instead—deciding on this vertical one. It took a day or two for me to adjust to its design, but it really is comfortable. I was able to map the additional buttons using the Logi app, so when I hold down one of the side buttons, I can swipe between full-screen apps, and the other button allows me to scroll up and down fluidly. Pros: super comfortable design, mappable buttons, price Cons: device switcher is on the bottom of the mouse, scroll wheel is not fluid 5 |

Good value. Got it for 15. Scroll wheel little creaky. Surprisingly comfortable mouse. Battery lasts forever. Really can't complain other than the scroll wheel creaks when scrolling aggressively. 5 |

I have used a trackball for more than 25 years. The latest one was Kensington Expert Mouse Pro which I had used for around 15 years. It is still functional but I thought I would give the SlimBlade a try since B&H had a super sale. When I plugged it into my Windows 10 computer and tried it, I didn't like it and was close to sending it back. But then I downloaded the software and adjusted the parameters and it was like a different product. The ball operates like it is on ball bearings--so smoothly. The software let me adjust how fast the cursor moves when I move the ball. Let me say a few words about complaints I've read about. One complaint had to do with how one must rotate the ball horizontally to scroll the current page down or up. I can see that if someone is bent on using that feature, it might be problematic. I have never used a scroll wheel or similar feature to scroll, so, the SlimBlade feature is completely unimportant to me. One other complaint I've read has to do with how imprecise the paddle switches are. Some complained that they click but might travel further before action occurs. I guess it is possible that the factory process is not precise and therefore some copies of SlimBlade switches operate differently than other copies. In my case, the switches operate perfectly. I tend to compare their mechanical actuation with that of the Expert Mouse Pro which had action when the click noise was heard. All in all, I just don't know what I would suggest for improvement. I'm very impressed with how the ball moves the cursor so effortlessly. 5 |
