Bluetooth Receiver Aux Switch Mono To Stereo

I needed a replacement CD player for my aging (and starting to fail) 5 Disc Carousel CD player that I purchased several decades ago. After researching various models of similar build and price point I decided on the Tascam CD-200BT. B&H Photo processed and shipped my order promptly. After installation of this unit to my hi-fi system I can say the Tascam CD-200BT does not disappoint with its solid build quality and simplicity of operation. The audio playback performance of this unit, both in CD and Bluetooth operation, has been excellent in my evaluations so far. The Bluetooth receiver pairs up effortlessly with the devices I have linked. I particularly like that this unit can store in its memory up to 8 Bluetooth devices without having to redo the whole pairing process when switching back and forth with other Bluetooth devices that have been previously paired in the unit’s memory. The fact that this model has a Bluetooth receiver was an added bonus for me as this saved the additional expense of adding a separate Bluetooth receiver to my hi-fi system that I was also planning to add. By not needing a separate Bluetooth receiver this saves having to use another AUX input on one’s hi-fi system AND with the CD-200BT unit having its own AUX input as well this in essence adds an additional AUX input function available for one’s hi-fi system. With Tascam’s reputation for professional grade audio products this unit should serve me well for some time. 5 |

This receiver has revitalized my 1980s stereo system by allowing Bluetooth transfer from my Sony Walkman (CD quality) and from an iPhone. When powered the receiver goes into pairing mode--your device remembers this receiver...you are connected. So far there has been no problem with connection or distance from the receiver. As this is my second unit (first attached to another stereo system) I only wish I could rename the unit as it comes up with the same name...only to be identified by the Bluetooth address. If you only have one of these, this will not be an issue. Attachment is simple: connect using RCA supplied cord to your receiver aux input. Having it on a switched plug on the receiver is very convenient. If not, you would have to push the light button to switch it into on mode. It has an auto off after a few minutes of not receiving a signal. It also has an optical connection. 5 |

Wow, I love the fact that I can switch between mono and stereo and the fact that it turns on when I start recording and turns off when I stop recording, that's a battery saver right there price is great too 5 |

This mono cartridge is a dream brought to reality for those of us old enough to have large collections of mono LPs, 45s and 78s. Using the cartridge as-is with the included VMN10CB stylus, mono LPs and 45s track perfectly and sound cleaner than they ever did when played using any stereo cartridge and stylus, no matter what the stylus configuration was. I have the feeling that the stylus is tracing portions of the groove wall that were never touched by narrower stereo styli. When I switch in the VMN70SP stylus, I hear everything possible in 78 rpm grooves that in some cases are more than 85 years old; again, it's as if previously untouched sections of the groove walls are being traced for the first time in the lives of the old shellac records. As a bonus, I've also discovered that I can switch the stylus to an older ATE100E eliptical stylus and play "electronically rechanneled for stereo" LPs issued in the 60s and early 70s to make mono recordings sound like stereo, even though the results were generally muddy and dismal; this cartridge restores the mono sound of the original pre-stereo era recording, greatly improving the sound. For older, non-stereo records, this cartridge is a must as far as I'm concerned. Once again, I need to say "Thank you" to Audio-Technica. 5 |

After doing research for a basic stereo receiver I chose the Sony STR-DH190 due to the impressive list of features including the phono input, Bluetooth, and the higher wattage output versus other similar receivers. I have attached my recently restored turntable to the receiver as well as a CD player and the sound is just fantastic! I particularly enjoy the ability to activate the receiver via Bluetooth from my smartphone and immediately begin streaming music - a great feature! Overall the Sony STR-DH190 is an excellent value and I use it every day. 5 |

Decided to get back into basic 2 channel stereo as my wave radio just couldn’t get it done. Took the plunge, picked up this receiver and two of the Sony 3 way bookshelf speakers. Wow the power and clarity from the Bluetooth streaming is amazing. Needless to say a CD player and a phono ( which each exceeded the price of the speakers and this receiver) were quickly added on. If your looking to get back into vinyl or just enjoy CDs or streaming to the Bluetooth you can’t go wrong with this receiver. 5 |

We needed a basic Bluetooth receiver for an old (20+ years old) stereo system, and this works perfectly. It was very easy to set up, and it takes up very little room. Definitely recommend it. 5 |

I bought this about a month ago to replace a 34 year old (!) Sony Stereo receiver. The old one had AM-FM receiver capability. This one only has FM Receiver built-in, but it sounds a lot cleaner than the older model. This one has fewer output jacks than my older one, but is more than adequate for my setup (Sony Stereo Cassette Deck - going on 20 years now also !), and a bluetooth Audio-Technica Record Player. This model also contains the regular size headphone jack AND a standard audio output jack on the front for older style cassette players, walkman's, etc. Very unusual feature but useful for me as I still use some of that older gear from time to time. I primarily bought and use this product for its bluetooth capability which works excellently. I have my phone, and computer able to play music to it through bluetooth. I realize bluetooth specs don't carry the full frequency range for a lot of audio musical pieces (such as classical music), but for the everyday average pop music it's just fine. This is a great entry level unit for a person who is not an audio-phile. I also bought this because of Sony durability in its products. This thing is built like a brick. Good design accents, solid metal frame, heavy duty components. I will always buy Sony products - good balance between cost, design, and functionality. Couldn't be happier with this product. 5 |
