Was gifted a Poly wireless headset. But needed the Bluetooth adapter for it to work with my work computer. I had to disable the computer Bluetooth but after that this little adapter can reach around my whole house. I have even answered calls from my kitchen while cooking lunch. Using this with NEC NP-M352WS 3500-Lumen Portable Short Throw DLP Projector. Powerpoint slides are about 1 second delayed. No audio via the wireless adapter. However, I am happy with the device for my purposes. I also use a hard wire for audio/video usage. After the second round of ordering, receiving, and returning the first order of the projector and this adapter, an with level II NEC tech support, I am finally able to get the devices to work together. Also, I am not going to be using this on a wireless network/router, but through the Easy Connection option (no router present at installation). It came down to one simple operation (from Mac OS 6.8): Before starting the process below, you will need to get the wireless IP address of the projector. Mine was 10.0.39.155. -click on the wireless icon at the top of the screen -click on Open Network Preferences -click on Advanced -click on TCP/IP tab -change the Configure IPv4 setting to Manually -change the IPv4 Address: to something close to your video projector's (my instance: 10.0.39.160) -click OK and then Apply Don't forget to reverse this setting when you're done using the wireless adapter in order to connect to the internet normally. You may want to consider a Bluetooth adapter for your headphones rather than this. They are harder to loose and more convenient. 5 |
