The two color system is a pleasure to work with and the bar code function makes it so much easier for inventory control

Great stand for desktop use. Only one drawback is that bar code label took some work to remove.

Purchased this to use for positioning bar code readers, sensors etc to allow us to design permanent mounting fixtures for the devices on nachinery.

The first Mac Book shipped to me would not charge or turn on. Genius Bar could not troubleshoot the issue, so I returned it to B&H and they shipped a new one. A rare case in my experience of Apple not meeting expectations. The new computer works perfectly. Love the super sharp screen, light weight and speed. Excellent customer service from B&H in dealing with the return. Love the associates manning the phones. They are knowledgeable and friendly.

I owned an earlier version of this scanner and this one (LiDE 400) works just as well or better. I can easily make PDFs out of book pages, which was my primary reason for buying the scanner. Image quality is fine for my purposes. It also does OCR on scanned images. Excellent product and very easy to use (once you've downloaded the software).

My father passed 30 years ago and had about 2000 slides of Family, Friends, and Events all the way back to the 1940's. I purchased this scanner and gave it to my Brother (who had possession of the slides) for Christmas. He scanned about half of the slides up until when he moved out of the house and then gave it back to me. (along with the remainder of the slides) I finished Dad's slides and then scanned a couple hundred of my own. The Scanner worked flawlessly! It was a bit tough to set up, because I never read the book until I have to. Read the book and install it EXACTLY in the order they say, and you will be fine. I have an older Photo program called PaintShop Pro that I did all the cropping and corrections with after I scanned the slides to Tiffs with the scanner. Bottom line: You get what you pay for, and this is worth the money. Pictures: #1, 1944, my Brother is the baby. #2 1954, I am the baby

My first job on this scanner was to capture an antique school book that has pencil writing and drawings. The scanner captured every detail with beautiful tonality and color accuracy. Have not yet tried the transparency option, but based on reflective quality, have high expectations. The initial setup on my Mac was a little problematic. The OS couldn't find the scanner at first. Had to restart a couple times, then all was good.

I own books passed down in my family for several centuries. I wanted a solution that would let me scan a book without ruining its spine. The Plustek OpticBook 3800L Scanner is precisely what I was looking for. The scanner practically functions to the very edge of the glass (save for a few millimeters). This allows me to place an entire page of the book on the glass while holding the other half of the book, saving the book from any serious pressure or wear. Did I mention how comfortable and easy it was to use this device? If my over-70-year-old father can use this scanner, I assure you that you can, too. Scan a page, press a single button. Flip the book to the next page and repeat. The scanner works faster than conventional flatbed scanners I've used previously. The quality of the scans are also great, whether black and white, grayscale, or color. A friendly reminder: If you will store the scanner when not in use, please remember to flip the switch underneath the device. This switch locks the scanning mechanism so as to prevent damage. Oh, and keep the original box. It's great for storing the scanner! If you have any precious texts that you would like to archive safely yet your budget does not permit more fancy solutions, then this is exactly what you need. Give it a try!
