We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly. 5 |

I use this enclosure with a 2015 5K iMac in lieu with a 750GB Crucial SSD, as a boot drive over USB 3. The speed is great, about 2.5x faster than the internal 7200 rpm regular HDD (but that also depends on the SSD type, it's not even the fastest kind). I have also used it for a while with a 2010 27 iMac, also as a boot drive but over FireWire 800 (as that model only has a slower yet USB 2), and the speed gain was fascinating, there was no need to crack open the machine and put the SSD inside (as was originally planned). The product itself is very nicely built and easy to assemble. Somewhat thicker than other similar enclosures I have, but not by much. The included faux leather pouch is quite fancy too! 5 |

This little USB drive is used to house a portable Windows 11 Pro system. Can be used to boot up any system such as in hotel bussiness center or library. The metal case protects it from being in a pocket or bag every day plus helps with heat dissipation. 5 |

PC or laptop will not boot due to faulty hardware? No problem - your data will not be lost. The 2.5/3.5" drive docking station connects to your PC / laptop and loads the hard drive as another drive so you access your coveted data! Connecting by usb or esata the transfer speeds do not disappoint. If there was a way to have the docking station powered over a usb cable without needing the power adapter that would be the only change I would make to this device. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. 5 |

Good value in a USB 3.1 thumb drive. I use these for USB boot disks. Fast and ergonomic style. 5 |

Functionally speaking, there's nothing really extraordinary about these flash drives. They work as expected for USB 2.0 drives. They're a pretty good value for the price, though. What I do like is the sliding case, which eliminates the problem of the little caps disappearing. I wish the lanyard hole were a little bigger so I could put a key ring through it; but hey, life isn't perfect -- at least not in this world. I mainly use these drives for operating system installation images. Many motherboards won't boot from a USB 3.x port, making flash drives higher than USB 2.0 a waste of money. In addition, installation images are almost never more than 12GB at most (and usually are much smaller), so these drives are a good size for that mission. My other mission for these drives is as recovery media to boot sickly machines into a recovery environment from which they can be restored from backup. That also has to be done from a USB 1 or 2 port; so again, USB 3.0 flash drives would be a waste of money for that mission. 5 |

WOW! Great design and a great product to Boot! I only wished that they made a flash drive like this with a larger capacity. Beyond that, good stuff. 5 |
