Boot Pc With Usb Flash Drive

PC or laptop will not boot due to faulty hardware? No problem - your data will not be lost. The 2.5/3.5" drive docking station connects to your PC / laptop and loads the hard drive as another drive so you access your coveted data! Connecting by usb or esata the transfer speeds do not disappoint. If there was a way to have the docking station powered over a usb cable without needing the power adapter that would be the only change I would make to this device. This unit was on sale and I couldn't resist a reliable brand name, large capacity, USB 3.0 capable flash drive at the price. The flash drive is small outside, but huge inside (TARDIS-like?). It's backward compatible with USB 2, which is great as that's all my desktop PC has. It comes FAT32 formatted, which is useful for mounting on a wider variety of computers than NTFS would be. I bought it to put videos on so that my wife could view them on her notebook PC rather than crowd around my desktop screen to see them. Although I've only had it a short time, I've already moved 15 GB of videos onto it and my wife is delighted. The smooth, locking-slide mechanism for the USB plug is a big plus. I believe that this product deserves a full 5 stars.

The Sandisk Dual USB 3.0 / micro-USB Flash Drive is a convenient way to store files that are to be used between PCs and Android devices.  Not having to connect a cable between the PC and the Android device is a plus.  Just plug in the flash drive to move or access the file directly from the PC or device. Nice!

Update can be done without old CPU with USB flash drive only.

Easy to install and works well. I replaced the existing PC boot drive 1TB SSD with this 4TB SSD for added speed and space. It works flawlessly. The hardest part (nothing to do with the SSD) was cloning the old SSD and getting that into the new SSD. In all, installation took about 30 mins; cloning and getting onto the new SSD about 3hrs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this solid state drive as a boot disk for one of my mini pc's. It was a quick and easy install. By putting the OS on the ssd, the pc boots up and starts so much faster than it used to. 120gb isn't a huge amount, nowadays, but it is enough to put most of my regular use programs on and run the peripherals off the external hard drive. I'm currently building a gaming pc and will incorporate ssd boot up in it, for sure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] picked this drive up for a boot up drive for a back up pc, it works really well, and looks great, it is not the fasted ssd drive on the market but one of the best bangs for your buck you can get, i would recommend anyone looking to build a budget pc to grab one of these drives,maybe grab a much bigger one tho as in todays standards a 120gb is a really small drive, some games i have on my pc will not even fit on this 1 drive, but as just a boot drive or a mobile netbook or something it is perfect for that.i own 8 or 9 of the Kingston hard drives and some are 4-5 years old and still going strong as they was the day i bought them, that is why i keep going back to the Kingston brand.
