I purchased this for my R8. It basically gives my pinky purchase on the front of the camera instead of the front corner or bottom. This provides more comfortable control when manipulating the camera. The battery/memory door works very well. You remove the door on the camera, and use the door on the extension. I use an falcam38 mount attached to the camera full time and have had no issues. I just put it together on my tripod (extremely easy) and put my 500 lens and camera on and could not believe how stable it is. I took it by the door to practice out of the rain, and was amazed at how easy it is to track running/ flying things! I love it and will be using it mostly for wild life/bird photography, though it works great in other applications too. 5 |

I did have second thoughts about fitting the Nikon 200-500 zoom but it fit snugly on the bottom.The D500 with the Tamron 70-200 fit right above it along with the Nikon 17-55. On top of that that are several pockets throughout for your smaller items such as cards, batteries, etc. And don't forget, there are 3 ways to carry this versatile pack. 5 |
