Best ever headphones. The noice cancelling is much better that’s the Bose 700 thingies. Everything is better.

As an engineer, I'm thoroughly impressed by the Bose Ultra Headphones. Their sleek, premium design and advanced technology make them a significant upgrade from previous Bose headphones. Having owned both the QC 35 and 45 models, I can attest to the exponential growth in capabilities that the Ultras represent. Bose is known for their amazing sound but these headphones take it to the next level. Immersive audio is the next best thing to going to a concert. Classical, punk, blue grass... it doesn't matter... it sounds like you're right there with great seats. As a mid-40's woman, I'm not the most technologically savvy person out there but setting up these headphones & pairing them to both my phone & computer was easy & now I can jam out to music during work, take a quick call, & get back to dancing around the room seamlessly. The only issue I've had since I first put these on is trying to get used to noise cancelling technology... it makes my head feel mushy. Luckily I've added to my modes to allow various levels of outside noise to come through so I can enjoy the technology without discomfort. If you're interested in high quality headphones with amazing sound capabilities, you will not be disappointed with Bose QC Ultra Headphones.

Great pair of cans. Best and headphones way better than the bose 35s and 700 by a mile

This is exactly the cable I needed to allow me to use my Bose 700 NC headphones with my iPhone without draining my battery or needing an adapter. And the volume and play/pause buttons work perfectly so I still have the player control I wanted.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are like me, you're deciding between these 1000XM4's or the Bose 700, and after using both, I can definitely see the appeal in these. Battery life and ANC are stellar in these sets of headphones, and audio quality is great as well! Design is rather subdued, but in a good way. These are comfortable headphones with ample padding without getting too heavy, and a case that makes it smaller to pack than the Bose 700. I wish these Sonys had better audio pickup for phone calls, as it doesn't quite stack up to the 700s. What it does bring to the table is great overall package, specs to beat, and a good price to match. As for the comparisons between this or the Bose 700, you really can't go wrong with either, but it should end up being a design choice and whether or not call pickup quality is value high on your list.

I am a Grado headphone addict. I need and demand the best sound production. I have never liked noise cancelling headphones. I considered them gimmicky. I own the Bose older 15’s. The sound was hollow and the noise cancellation technology hurst my ears. So I abandoned trying any others for four years. In anticipation of traveling, I overcame my reluctance with NC headphones after internet reviews, and sampled the new Bose 700 at their store. Overwhelming treble. Ouch! But better (not great) telephone call sound. Did not buy. Tried these from B & H. Wow! What makes these truly worth it: technology is subordinate to sound. Noise cancellation takes a back seat to sound production. I need the best sound. That’s why at home I listen with Grado cans. I refused to believe the overwhelmingly positive reviews of these Sonys until I tried them over two recent flights on a plane. The newest NC technology with Sony is a game changer. No ear pain! You can easily adjust the degree of noise cancellation with their iPhone app. You’ve got to see the options in that app. Customization of NC, sound equalizer and sound reference options! Now I know why Sony is cornering the NC headphone market. Terrific. Highly recommended. Don’t believe this review. Try it.

Hi Bose, This addition to the Soundbar 700 and SoundTouch 300 is absolutely fantastic and elegant. I had the other surround rears but now having the new 700 rears its a big change. The look is a major difference.... absolute quality.... The sound is great but...... it needs to get a tad bit louder. It’s good enough but I would love to turn it up a tad more. BOSE, I have heard this from other people as well.. please do a software update, you could make this even better if you did!

Until a week ago I loved my Bose 700 headphones. My only complaint was the bass was a bit flat even after adjusting it in the app. I left them on a Delta flight and needed a new pair, so I figured I'd see what was out now. I was told the Sony 1000X5 would be a better solution... a week after owning them I was not impressed with them for conference calls or music. So I called my BandH rep to find out if there was in fact a better solution to the Bose. YES she recommended these baised on the actual sound specs... These are exactly what I was hoping for. The audio is so clean clear and bass hits just right with out sounding distorted. Calls completely sound like surround sound you hear everything people say on Conference calls. For this price point I'd put these on top... Oh another note look at the battery life. GET THESE!!!!

I tried these and the Bose 700's, took the 700s back. I really love the sound on these! The 20 ANC Levels are unmatched!
