Bose Headphones No Bass

Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones have the best ANC in the market. The different modes are immersive, aware, and quiet work great. Immersive is spatial and ANC, allowing you to focus on the sound. Quiet mode blocks outside noise and awareness allow the important sounds in. The sound quality is very clean sounding. Treble, mids, and bass all have a distinct channel and don't bleed into each other. The app does have EQ settings so you can adjust bass, treble, and mids. The sound from Bose will never be bass-heavy. I feel the sound is too clean and is missing a warmth. The build quality is solid and the headphones are comfortable to wear for hours. My only complaint is the ear cups are too shallow. In summary, if you are looking for clean sound with awesome ANC the Bose QuietComfort headphones are for you. 5 |

These headphones are among the best at this price for my needs. I've been through a lot of headphones and wasted a bunch of money on well reviewed, more expensive ones but these are among the best. It seems that many other headphones are good at one thing but not anoher. I have a pair of VModa's that are VERY bass heavy but the mids and highs are very recessed. Don't even get me started on Beats. Just bad IMHO. These ATH-M50x's are very good at doing just about everything. Deep, but not overpowering, bass and clear mids and highs. I have another pair of favorite headphones and those are the Bose Sound True. Crystal clear mids and highs. Maybe even a tad clearer than the M50x's. But the bass is different. The bass on the Bose I would classify as tight and the M50x's as deep. Neither are muddy like the VModa's or Beats. All in all, these headphones are an excellent buy with a few minor negatives for my personal needs:1)There is no cord available for controlling an IPod or Android smartphone. I use these exclusively at the gym and it's a pain to have to reach in my pocket to skip a track or control the volume. With the Bose Sound True's, this cord is standard.2)They're noticeably heavier than the Bose. I was at the gym and listening to the Bose while lifting weights and when I went to the locker room to change for my cardio workout, I put on the M50x's and they felt like a ton of bricks compared to the Bose.3)Not real crazy about the blue/brown color scheme. The only reason I got this color is because all my other headphones are black. All things considered, a great purchase! 5 |

Simply great headphones. No bass enhancement, no extra tinkle, just accurate dependable headphones. Frequently I wear them for 3-4 hours at a time without fatigue, ear pain or sweating. There is a reason you will see pro studio people wearing these. Accuracy, comfort and consistency. 5 |

These headphones provide much more accurate sound than many other headphones, -some costing much more. No lower midrange dip and exaggerated highs like the Sony 7506s. No exaggerated bass like all those overpriced DJ headphones out there (you know which ones I mean). Solid, but realistic sounding bass. Good response through the midrange. Smooth, extended top end. If it's in the recording, you'll hear it. If it's not, you won't. The interchangeable cords are a nice touch and very convenient. 5 |

These are the standard reference headphones for audiophiles. You get them for exactly that reason. No extra bass, no extra treble, just the music as intended 5 |

I paired the Bose bass module 500 with the Soundbar 500 in our living room, TV room area. The Sound bar 500 was excellent, see other review, when paired with the Bass module. Set up was simple and direct. Bass support has been excellent as well. after 1 month using both units: the sound is excellent. Base sounds are ever present but not over powering. The amplitude of the bass can be changed, up or down, depending on sound source and type of input. For TV, reducing the bass made dialogue easier for us; more base was great for action scenes and broad based music applications and sources. There may be one or two changes to recommend. I would add, and may, the satellite rear speakers for a more room filling surround sound. also, I may suggest upgrading to the 700 series. In total, the Bose Bass 500 module is a must have with the Sound bar 500. I highly recommend getting both. 5 |

The Bose Bass Module 700 is more than I expected. The bass is strong and fills the entire room with the moment on the screen. But only as it should be. I now have an actual home theater experience everytime I watch a movie. I wish I had purchased the Bose soundbar and Bass unit much sooner. It is worth the cost. 5 |
