Bose Universal Remote Volume Not Working

I had been unhappy with my old system for a while and found this option at B & H. For the price I'm happy with it. I like that the rear surround speakers are wired directly to the subwoofer. Other more expensive brands had wireless rear speakers but that would mean batteries or recharging, not a good option in my opinion. I put the subwoofer behind the couch, mounted the speakers on the wall, and all the wires are well hidden. As for the remote, it works well enough, but it's tough to get a universal remote to control it because the remote requires several clicks for some functions. First you have to click to get to the setting you want and then activate it, so even a remote that can perform macros can be tricky to set up. It's not really a problem for me though as I don't change settings much, and I only need access to the power, volume and mute controls, which can easily be controlled with my TV remote or my universal remote because I connected the Vizio to an HDMI input. I tried connecting an Alexa to it, both with bluetooth and directly, but no matter how I set it up, the volume was too low, even with the Alexa set to maximum volume. But all in all this unit works well, and I would recommend it if you're looking for something that's not too expensive and is easy to set up.

I like that my new roku has the volume control on the remote so i only need one remote.

Has all I want and easy to use. Volume buttons on side of remote get in the way sometimes.

I love the streaming stick but I wish the remote had the Roku Remote Pro features (volume controls and rechargeable batteries). This remote should be standard

There is plenty of volume and base. You can adjust everything with the simple remote.

Have only had it for a few days, but I love the power switch and volume control on the remote.

After months of deliberation I decided I would buy Bose SoundTouch 30... I instantly changed my mind when I arrived to the store and physically compared the sound quality - the latest Sonos play5 was in another league! I found that the Bose distorted at about 75% volume, whereas the Sonos pumped a clear sound at 100% volume with a huge difference in rich bass. To top it off, the Sonos was a lot cheaper. The Sony Transmitter Works Flawlessly between my TV and Bose Noise Canceling 700 headphones. I can have the volume at the level I need to listen and others can have the volume they need. This is especially nice for my family so that I don't blast the TV too loud.
