Bose Versus Sonos Wireless Speakers

I have a tech savvy friend that swears by Sonos, I have 3 Bose wireless speakers at home that I use in back yard and patio, and thought that it was great... Until I heared L5 at his house.... Holly smokes..you can hear every note with no back static and the base is so on point, just like you are at a club. My summer is coming along just fine:-)

We decided to go wireless and use Sonos to take away clutter and facilitate streaming and different music playback options in different rooms at the same time. We used to have an Onkyo 2 zone receiver running two amazing outdoor Bose speakers (prewired in our home) and a Bose Accousitmass 10 sorround system in our family room. To play the speakers outside we had to play the same thing in the Family room. It sounded good though. We replaced the Onkyo and indoor Bose surround with a Sonos Soundbar and we are 110% happy with that. We also bought a Sonos Amp to run the outdoor speakers. Now we can play different things in the different areas and the sound quality is phenomenal. The amp has more power and clarity than the old Onkyo receiver. I know this is a really expensive option, but for us, it was completely worth the investment!

I have the Sonos 5's in several larger roomA at my house and our lake house. I especially Love the play 5's when I feel Like cranking it up for parties. I am a huge SONOS fan...all told I have 46 SONOS units (speakers, subs, amps) plus 16 outdoor Bose speakers and four in ceiling Bose speakers.

Sound quality is top notch. I already have other Sonos speakers do I am familiar with the app, so using this sound bar is very simple. I plan on buying the sub woofer at some point to add to my surround system, but for now the Arc can handle filling the room with sound and it sounds great. I used to think nothing could compare to Bose, but Sonos I feel has passed Bose in quality and value.

I did not know about the quality that Sonos speakers. I have always been a Bose enthusiast, but honestly Sonos has changed my perspective. The sound that comes out of the Sound bars and subs is amazing.

I purchased a Sonos sound bar, subwoofer and surround speakers and spent 6 hours trying to set it up on a Sunday. I called Sonos the next day since tech support wasn’t open on the weekends and after 2.25 hours on the phone with tech support I was told that there was a known compatibility issue with the router supplied by my internet provider and the Sonos sound bar. The Sonos sound bar and subwoofer was returned the next day and after some further research I purchased the Bose 700 sound bar and 700 Bose subwoofer. They were very easy to set up and the sound was awesome. After a few days I decided to get the Bose 700 surround sound speakers. They were very easy to add to the sound system and I was very pleasantly surprised at how much sound came out of such small speakers. The app allows for adjustments to each component. It also comes with a remote that was very easily connected to other devices, which eliminates the need for any other remote. My only complaint is that the remote backlight only stays on for a few seconds so you constantly have to move the remote to keep the light on. Overall I highly recommend the Bose 700 components!

I originally got a set of Bose speakers since I already owed one. Bose has a disaster on their hands in regard to their operating systems and no technical support to speak of. They have two operating systems in play and a controlling system so you have to download three apps and try to connect them all but the worst part is that the systems are NOT compatible (which I had to learn from a chat room that the support website deferred me to). I took them all back and got a Sonos system. Comparable fantastic sound to Bose but the Sonos set up is quick, painless, and very logical. Hands down, Sonos wins this application.

I use this speaker on my desk/gaming setup. I used it to replace my old bose portable and thx speakers as I wanted a one piece, beautiful sounding yet bass powerful speaker. 2 years ago I would've stuck to bose hands down, yet now I absolutely love my Sonos and hope to add more to it later on. Since working with these speakers in my day job I had to buy the 5 as it sounds sooo good!! I am using this amp to run my outdoor speakers, Bose Free Space 51s, in a very large back yard. It has great sound, much better than my old Sonos Connect and commercial amp. I have been updating my old Sonos equipment and can say the new Amp and speakers are well worth the money, the work and sound amazing.
