Bose Vs Yamaha Outdoor Speakers

Yamaha A-S501 85w. x2 into 8 ohms. I use it to power Bose 251 outdoor speakers.This amp fills a huge soundstage with detailed depth. The controls are simple. The silver finish [in stock at B&H] is a clean smart look. B&H came through again. Great stock, the right price and swift delivery.

I bought this to amplify sound from my outdoor TV. Hooked to Yamaha outdoor speakers, it provides a good quality sound. Easy to install and set up.

Previously had a dedicated Yamaha outdoor amplifier to drive our SpeakerCraft OE8 outdoor speakers on our rear deck. Replaced with Sonos Amp. Although it's pricey, it sounds awesome and the big advantage is we can play the same music in our living room Sonos 5's as the outdoor speakers. So we can enjoy the same music in both locations. Very easy to install and set up. Sounds awesome.

These outdoor speakers sound very nice on our back patio. We’re fortunate to have a covered portico where we were able to mount them vertically with opposing side walls to reflect passive radiator bass sound equally. We have an older Yamaha Aventage A/V receiver which provides 150 watts per channel to our zone 2 Def Techs, controlled wirelessly through the Yamaha controller app. The speakers play background music sweetly at low volume, and really pump out nice, full range sound when cranked up. Bass is quite good at party volume. Have to be very careful not to get kicked out of the neighborhood! Very happy with our purchase.

Sound that comes out of these little speakers I wasn’t sure the price! Excellent outdoor stereo speakers from Bose

I bought the atrium 5 when they first came out. I was looking for Bose outdoor speakers at the time. I went to Fry's in Alpharetta, Ga. I was in the speaker room and started listening to all the outdoor speakers. I cranked up the Bose and a few others. After listening, I found out that Polk had a better sound! I'm currently trying to finish my back patio with overhang porch, I do have the speakers out in the garage and the sound quality matches Bose!

We decided to go wireless and use Sonos to take away clutter and facilitate streaming and different music playback options in different rooms at the same time. We used to have an Onkyo 2 zone receiver running two amazing outdoor Bose speakers (prewired in our home) and a Bose Accousitmass 10 sorround system in our family room. To play the speakers outside we had to play the same thing in the Family room. It sounded good though. We replaced the Onkyo and indoor Bose surround with a Sonos Soundbar and we are 110% happy with that. We also bought a Sonos Amp to run the outdoor speakers. Now we can play different things in the different areas and the sound quality is phenomenal. The amp has more power and clarity than the old Onkyo receiver. I know this is a really expensive option, but for us, it was completely worth the investment!

I researched outdoor speakers and went to many stores to listen to many different brand names (B & W, B&O, etc.) These are not only the best for what I needed, but the sound and integration is amazing. I have to admit I'm a Bose fan, but have had other speakers and headphones and none have been able to contend with Bose products. The SA-5 amplifier was easy to set up and is easy to use. The app works well with the system and other SoundTouch speakers. I definitely recommend this set up. The highs are crisp and the lows are just enough without being overbearing.

I had an old set of outdoor speakers that I thought sounded great until I installed the BOSE 251s. The old outdoor speakers used to be powered by my old receiver/amplifier, but I replaced the receiver with the BOSE Soundtouch SA-5 Amplifier, and the 251s were the next logical upgrade. The music fills the deck and backyard with beautiful claer sound. I am very happy with the 251s combined with the SA-5 Amplifier.
