Bose Wireless Headphones Not Connecting To Macbook Pro

I bought the Bose QC35 wireless headphones and could not connect to my older Mac Pro. Turns out the Bose QC35 required Bluetooth 4.x, and the Mac Pro has Bluetooth 2.1. So I bought this adapter and it worked like a charm. I can now connect to my iPhone 6S and switch to the Mac Pro easily.

This is the exact unit we needed. We had a MacBook pro connecting to an inexpensive 4x2 matrix. One output to a Samsung TV. One output to a BenQ projector. It would not give us a clear signal at the projector, if it gave us a signal at all. With this unit, we were able to fake the laptop into believing it was only connected to the BenQ projector.
