Boss Digital Recorder Micro Br Pro Studio

I use the Micro Case to protect my Tascam Digital Audio Recorder. It's just larger than the Tascam which allows me to put some foam in and keep it all safe and snug. The little hook, well for what I'm carrying I'll never use it, I don't want to trust it because the tascam isn't light and I don't want it falling. Otherwise I guess its fine. The case is well built, sturdy latches, and built to take a little punishment. Exactly as it should.

The Nikon ES-1slide adapter has a 62mm thread. The Nikon 60mm AFS Micro f2.8 has a 52mm thread. In order to use the ES1 with the 60mm Micro lens you need a Nikon BR-5 Adapter Ring 62-52mm. This Nikon ring costs $44.95. Both the Sensei 62-52mm Step-Down Ring $4.95 and this one The Pro Aluminum at $7.95 work just as well as the Nikon Ring. The threads are smooth and this Sensei Ring is in my opinion just as good as the Nikon BR-5.

I have used slide films for over four decades and one can imagine how many slides I will have!? I have been wanting to copy some of the important slides and tried copying and scanning with no satisfied results. After a serious hunt, I came across this Nikon Slide Copying attachment ES1. But, the problem with it is that it has been designed exclusively for use with Micro Nikkor AF 2.8/60mm D lens or with Micro Nikkor AF2.8/55mm with three extension tubes to make 1:1 magnification. Since, I already have Micro Nikkor AFS 2.8/105mm ED VR lens, I did not want to invest in another macro lens. So, I started experimenting by copying the slides in a crude manner and found out that I can copy the 35mm slides with my 105mm lens with certain amount of extension in front of the lens! So, I ventured for Nikon ES1 and BR 5 ring. That wasn't sufficient and I still had to push the magnification little farther away from the lens. So, I bought a cheap non auto Chinese extension tube and Nikon's BR 2A reverse ring and BR 3 mount adapter ring. With this array of close up attachments, I was able to copy my 35mm slides full frame and the results are far better than any scanning method with a full frame sensor as a must! I used the following set up for copying the 35mm slides :- 1. Nikon D 800 body 2. Micro Nikkor AFS 2.8/105mm ED VR lens attached to the body 3. Nikon BR 5 attached to the front of the l05mm lens (62mm thread) 4. Nikon BR 2A attached to the Nikon BR 5 (52mm thread) 5. Cheap Non Auto Chinese Extension Tube set ( one model comes with screw thread adjustment in between ) attached to the bayonet mount of the BR 2A mount 6. Nikon BR 3 is attached the bayonet mount of the Extension Tube 7. Nikon ES 1 is finally attached to the 52mm screw thread of BR3 ring. 8. With this set up, pull or push the ES 1s inner extension tube to set the frame and focusing distance 9. Use Matrix metering, Aperture Priority with F8 at ISO 100 in day light and the camera mounted on a tripod.

I use it to split audio from my mixer onto a digital recorder and a headset too!

I replaced our two 5-year-old BR-1500 APC back-ups with two new APC Pro 1500's. I have had them in service for about 3 weeks now. They are far more advanced than the older ones. The LCD screen is very useful and I like the improved form factor. So far they are great!

The case is strong and compact and holds the digital recorder very tightly.
