Boss Gx 100 Manual

This lens replaces my Lumix 20mm H-H020 on my GX-7. The Lumix lens never seemed to have accurate autofocus and sometimes hunted for focus, racking in and out for up to a second. This lens doesn't do that. The focal length is a little bit wider, closer to a 35mm full frame equivalent. The filter/hood treads don't move in and out and don't retract into the barrel of the Lumix, so you can use a cheapo rubber hood safely instead of the pricey Olympus one. Surprisingly, I found the ability to switch between manual and auto focus with the focus ring useful, and it makes me less likely to accidentally leave the lens in manual focus mode. This feature is compatible with the GX-7. Excellent value due to the recent price reduction!

This is a quality product. I bought it to protect my Boss GT 100 guitar processor when I gig with the band. It has adequate padding, is well made, and has a side pocket for accessories. Nice carrying case for processors or small keyboards.

I grew up in Manual Mode... with a light meter in one hand and Contessa 35 in the other. However, I have eased into automatic as I have moved into 'senior citizen' territory. I have also become a fan of in-camera zoom and not having 30 pounds of lenses to wag around. The Lumix DMC-ZS 100 is now my 'go-to' favorite camera. I have two other Panasonic zoom cameras, but the ZS 100 offers the crisp, great color saturation photos that I remember from my early days. The ZS 100 has plenty of options that eliminate bringing anything else but the camera on trips or shoots. I am an avid fan and recommend it to anyone; beginner or serious photographer.

Be warned, it's 100% manual... but if you can deal with that, you will be amazed at the performance of this little lens. I am a prime snob and have almost exclusively L glass. But the Canon 14mm 2.8 II cost is obscene. I read the reviews on the Rokinon, gave it a try and I'm seriously blown away. It's impressive.
