Really fantastic big string sound in the VSL instrument family. 5 |

I use this mic to record string and wind (brass mostly) instruments. The different patterns make it effective in a variety of spaces depending on whether you want to reject other sounds or include reflections. Versatile and great sound quality. 5 |

This mic sounds very nice for vocals, plucked string instruments, and woodwind instruments (at least that's what I've tried it on). I highly recommend it! 5 |

Dust cover, stretchy material, pull string to tighten around instrument base. Plenty of slack to fit just about any keyboard 49-61 keys. 5 |

This a VERY good microphone especially for the price. It provides clear accurate sound of acoustical instruments. Being able to change the directional pattern is a great plus. It allows me to pickup just the instrument or the instrument and room reverberations when recording. The violin and viola musicians I have recorded love the sound this microphone produces (so far those are the only instruments I have recorded with it). It would be nice to be able to change the pattern of the mic without having to change the tip but is is not a big deal to switch tips. For the price this is a great microphone it compares very favorably with mics costing 2 to 3 times the price. 5 |

I've been familiar with Ibanez instruments for decades, and owned one in my college days. After an accident recovery and 20 years of not being able to play bass, I recently decided to take up playing again. I anticipated a low budget instrument, with all the normal flaws associated - but this surprised me. The body is lovely, and although not exceptionally weighty, it's heavy enough to give great tone and sustain. Frets are nicely inlaid, and free from chatter. In fact, aside from a very slight intonation adjustment on the G string, this instrument plays as well as some much more expensive bodies. The active bass boost is a bit of a gimmick, but tone is quite diverse and dynamic. Tone tends toward being very bright, but it easy to attenuate. All together satisfied. 5 |

I started out using pvc pipe but they bowed under the weight. Bought these to replace the pvc pipes and no more bends. 5 |

I received this lens today, and immediately mounted it on my D500 and tested it. True to it's 180 degree view, you have to take care unless you want a lot of bowed lines. However, that's one of the reasons I bought the lens. I have several wide angle lenses by Nikon and Tokina, and this one fills the ultra-wide angle niche. I opened the images in Photoshop, and examined them, and the results are excellent. The colors were nicely saturated, but not overly so. Since it's such a short focal length lens, the camera's AF doesn't have to do any searching, and the focus snapped in very nicely. I'll be using this lens for flower field pictures mostly, although the appeal of some architectural scenes with some bowed lines is also on tap. It's difficult to pack much more into a lens for the price. Earlier, I owned a couple of Sigma zoom lenses, but wasn't particularly impressed. However, this 16mm f2.8 is a real improvement. 5 |
