Brass Instrument Thick Lacquer

Need I say any more? It works!! Excellent reproduction of Brass Instrument Sounds! How can this be possible at sub $100??

This mic will pretty much blow your mind with how clean it records. The brass instrument clip isn't that great. It wouldn't stay secured on the trumpet I mounted it on. Plus, certain mutes will prevent it from mounting entirely. I'm sure the clip is very instrument dependent, so plan for backup mounting options. When in doubt, gaff tape.

The Manfrotto 454 is made from thick aluminum and doesn't allow much flex from the camera weight: good. With the brass knob adjusted properly, the thumb screws operates smoothly and without much play. The screw thread is about right for magnification ratios of 0.5 to 2 - good for focus stacking. It would be too fine for lower ratios, although the brass knob can be loosened and the lever can be pulled for large-scale movements. The screw drive does prevent the camera from running away at steep inclination angles.

I bought this one as I always wanted a nice leather bag and this one really rocks! Patina haven, the leather smells really good. Strap is all leather, not the seatbelt variety. Grips but still slides around when you want it to unlike Domke which sticks. An inch taller than the F5xB and half in wider and WITHOUT the annoying Velcro. Has many outer pockets which are really handy and no zippers to be wary of. Easy to open and close and everything else is solid brass! Straps won't clang as the leather is thick and helps prevent the brass buckle from contacting the table when you put it down. Perfect for mirror less when you don't have to lug so many things around. Side pockets are tight as bag is new as leather is thick but supple. Love the leather.

Extremely well built, smooth edges and corners. Almost makes me want to stain/lacquer it for the home.

Coming from MR5's Mk1 these are a great upgrade. Also more stylish for our studio than the JBL's or others that have that lacquer-finish plastic all over it.
