Brass Instruments Expensive

This is a work horse mic used by every sound engineer to record any type of instruments:brass, percussion, etc.

I use this mic to record string and wind (brass mostly) instruments.  The different patterns make it effective in a variety of spaces depending on whether you want to reject other sounds or include reflections.  Versatile and great sound quality.

The Heliopans are on the more expensive side but worth it because of the brass construction. You won't need to replace it anytime soon.

Now this is a step-up ring. Expensive yes, the brass has weight to it and it is easier to put on than the aluminum type.

I would only spend this much on a filter for my most expensive lenses, but you do get what you pay for: quality glass, low profile and brass construction. One quibble is that the first filter I got had a defective coating, but B&H quickly replaced it.

I love how well made these filters with brass rings are while not being really much more expensive than other brands. Very easy to clean with the nano coatings and offering a nice layer of protection. I shoot a lot outdoors in dusty gritty environments and I really do not like to risk polishing my lens' front element.

This step-up ring is more expensive than others, but since it is brass, it won't bind and get stuck on my lens or filter. I use a Vari ND filter, and don't want to buy 2, so this is perfect for me.

it's hard to justify putting a low quality filter on an expensive lens, however what makes a high quality lens filter? glass? brass ring? coatings? use an appropriate filter for your lens, the NXT Hoya works great for a large percentage of lenses.

I know it's a bit expensive for what it is but being made of brass really makes a difference. I feel confident in my ability to take on/off easily without binding. Highly recommended.

I purchased these brass step-up rings from Sensei (both in the 72 to 82 and the 77 to 82 increments) without knowing how they would stack up against some of the much cheaper alternatives I had purchased in the past. While these are quite a bit more expensive than some of the cheaper, thin aluminum options, when you are placing expensive glass on the ends of these step-up rings, you feel confident that your lens filters are safe and secure. These adapters come in a very nice, solid plastic case and you can immediately tell their high quality when you pick them up. They thread on and off my Sigma Art/Rokinon Cine series lenses with ease and feel like a piece of kit that will last a lifetime.
