This modem router is one of the best I have used. I have 4 children and I use a lot of WiFi and this thing has not given out on me!

It's a modem. You plug it into the wall and then into a router and you get internet.

I haven't had nearly enough experience to rate this router properly, but as an ardent Apple user, my experience replacing an aging 1st-gen AirPort Extreme (Time Capsule) might be of value. I replaced the AE/TC router with the 2600ac with virtually no hassle; the unit powered up, was quickly configured, and now supports the other two AE's as wired wi-fi extenders. In this configuration coverage seems about the same, but ideally I will replace the other two AE's with one more 2600ac, also running in bridge mode. We'll see ... Speed-wise, wi-fi connections (those supporting 802.11ac) are now seeing 150-200Mbps, versus my old "n" speeds of around 40-50Mbps. So that's nice ...
