Broken Switch Controller

The switch was quickly adopted by the controller and was up and running in a few minutes.

I use the VT-4000 tripod and zoom controller with my Cannon Vixia HF G20 to video live action demonstrations. The swing action, up and down are very smooth with this head. I used one previously with a non-profit I filmed for. Theirs had several years of use and was a little more broken in. The new one I just purchased for myself is still quite smooth but I know will be even better once broken in. The zoom controller is a must! You can get much more fluid transitions while moving and zooming at the same time. It also saves your arms. You can comfortably rest your hand on the swing arm while moving and zooming. The tripod is very stable and easy to adjust. The head will adjust independently of the tripod legs so you can level with the bubble without the awkward leg-leveling. Just hand-loosen the adjustment knob below the head, tilt to level and re-tighten. Buying the tripod, arm and zoom controller as a package was a good deal.

This is a very solid controller. I bought this to replace a broken Canon LANC controller that was not build very sturdy (in my opinion) and cracked. I've used it with both Canon XH-A1 and XF305 cameras and it worked very nicely. If all you need is zoom and record functions this is a really good choice, especially for the price!

Was going to build my own from a broken game controller, but why bother when you can buy the Vello for the price of parts. Works perfect.

The old E510 was starting to wear out - on/off switch broken and hand grip peeling off, so decided to take advantage of (refurb) purchase of E620 so I could continue to utilise my 4/3 lenses. The update has been worth it, for the additional features over the E510. Compliments my EPL1 as well, and can be used as 'extra' body when travelling (interchangeable lenses with MMF2 adapter onto EPL1, and same battery.)

I’ve replaced broken light switches before, and the physical install was about the same. The only tricky part was determining which wire was the Load, as I’m not good with a voltmeter. But there are only two choices, so I got it right. Connecting the switch to my home network worked on the first try. The physical switch is different than a traditional mechanical decora-style switch and took some getting used to, but I find it easy to use. I wish the app had the ability to setup an “away from home” mode, where the start and end times for the switch vary automatically every day to give the house a more lived in appearance. I accomplished this by having different schedules for each day of the week, which works but is annoying for the six switches in my house. Overall I’m satisfied after a couple of weeks.

Replaced my existing firewall, dhcp controller and network switch with ubiquity controller and network switch along with 3 ubiquity access points. It was a painless installation and network speeds are much faster.

This switch has been up and running for two weeks without problems. It was easy to install and configure with the unifi controller. You do not have to be an IT professional to deploy this thing in your home but having the unifi controller for your network devices really gives you an incentive to learn what you can truly do with these things, which is alot! A+++
