Brother 11X17 Printer Scanner

This is really nice paper. I used a Brother 11x17 inkjet. I don't usually get great photo quality out of the printer, but this paper is a big improvement! It's outstanding! I will purchase this again!

I really like and use a lot of the options that are available on this printer/copier/scanner/fax. I previously owned another Brother machine that had performed well, but this one is even better.

I resell Brother printers all the time. This one went to a customer that requested another Brother all-in-one printer/scanner. They are thrilled with this one and the one they have had for several years. I highly recommend Brother printers.

I purchased this printer to replace an old Brother laser jet. Since my old Epson scanner was no longer compatible with the current OS, I liked that this printer had the ability to scan as well. Setup was super-easy out of the box. I'm in a Mac environment, and I had no problem whatsoever getting it up and running. The printer is much faster than my old one - faster to warm up and to print. Quality is great, although the color is a bit dark and off. I'm sure I can adjust this, but haven't looked into it yet. The scanner works great, but be aware that you must sign up for an HP account in order to be able to scan. Overall, no regrets with this purchase. It serves its purpose and meets my needs.

After reviewing various consumer product rating publications I selected this Brother MFC-L8610CDW based on both predicted reliability and features. I'm glad I did - it is working great as my primary home printer/scanner. I have two computers (one iMac and one MacBook Air) connected to the printer via WiFi. I did have to reinstall the Brother driver software and fiddle a bit to get the scanner button on the device to connect with my computers. The trick was to make sure, when you attempt the first scan from the MFC-L8610CDW, to go back to your computer and pres "accept" on the two firewall security messages that will show up. After that, everything worked great!

Purchased and Installed older model 10000XL 11x17 scanner on 01/31/2001 and just replaced it with the 13000XL model July 2024. Only had to replace the 23-yr. old model we used daily due to upgrade to Windows Server 2022 which would no longer communicate with the old Windows XP desktop that the 2001 scanner ran on. Big commercial printers and scanners at the office eliminate geotechnical contour lines and details required for these drawings when scanned. Fabulous equipment worth every penny! Highly recommended.

I am a professional photographer who has a lot of old negatives and slides. I had an 20+ year old Epson scanner that I paid over $* for. It did an OK job but was slow and big. I did a lot of research and thought about a film only scanner. The problem is most only do 35mm and are expensive. The first scan I did with my iMac looked fantastic. I can't image needing more than this one. Super sharp and good detail in highlight and shadow areas. I guess with technology getting cheeper this is the results, you a get scanner for less than $200. The software is OK. I use the home mode and it defaults to 4x6 at 300 DPI. But it automatically puts a crop around all the images and you have to go through and tell the software if you want to scan larger. I usually do 11x17 @ 300 DPI. I would say that takes a little over a minute to scan. I'll do a few each night and I already have several hundred scanned. I save as a TIF. Color files are about 50 MB and B&W about 17MB at the 11x17 @300DPI.

Our second Brother printer, would not have anything else !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just love Brother brand, they make the best printers and scanners. My work uses all Brother printers. This scanner is just magnificent, super easy to set up, took me less than 2 minutes to do. I connected mine to wifi and was able to print it without any issues, prints comes out in high quality and straight, settings are easy to navigate thanks to touchscreen and it has all of the options you need. Scan to server, scan to SMP, scan to email, and etc., You can control the settings through the scanner itself, through app or a brother software utility on your PC. It does come with all the cables that you need to get it to work without wifi but my suggestion would be if you buying this, use the wifi, you can scan it anywhere. Set up a printer, download the brother full package software, install it and bam you have a wonderful scanner. Highly recommend it for businesses and even just for everyday home use. Definitely worth a price
