Brother 7100 Printer

Our second Brother printer, would not have anything else !

Brother printer needs to use brother ink. I bought another brand ink that did not work.

This is my second Brother MFC printer and I have been very happy with both (so far on new one)

Two years of service on old XP-7100. New printer replacement today Easier to set up this time. No problems. Lots of options of use on this printer, more than the average (me) user might use. Eats ink quickly. Overall, satisfied.

I bought this printer to replace my old HP 3830. First, Epson still has an installation disk to install the printer drivers and software. The installation CD works. Installation and setup was almost boring. Do not lose this disk. The printer side works well. The extending printer tray is a bit of a gimmick but if it works, great. This is my first day running the printer. I'm not sure how well it does with ink consumption but a full set of XL ink cartridges costs less than their competitor. First surprise. The XP-7100 can print disk labels. I haven't had a printer do this is years but who knows; I may need it. The printer has two trays. The second tray is intended for photo paper. I'm going to try using it for printing envelopes and index cards. Current printers are focusing on printing on wireless printing. Frankly I haven't bothered but I may try it with this printer. I use my scanner a lot. The XP-7100 scanner software is flexible and easy to use. The XP-7100 is noticeably faster than my old HP. This morning I was able to run through about 6 weeks of scanning in less than 4 hours. The double sided scanner works well with both single sided and double sided scanning. You can save in multiple formats including a searchable PDF file. The real question is how well will the XP-7100 hold up. I've used and frankly abused Epson printers over the years. They've held up well. The XP-7100 is in good company.

The Epson XP -7100 printer is Amazing. The pictures I print come out Brilliantly . To me, the pictures look Awesomely better than the original version. I give this printer two thumbs up and more!!!!!!
