I got one of these for myself and one for my brother. The magnets on the base are super strong and will hold to any ferrous material like a car hood. The ball head won't hold a full frame DSLR, but it could handle a good point and shoot camera like my Canon G7x II not to mention any phone with a tripod grip adapter. The bottom of the base is also rubberized so that it won't scratch up the paint if you attach it to you car.

I really enjoy taking pictures on vacation. When we do car trips, I usually take my SLR with an assortment of lenses and accessories. For flights, I don't want to bring a lot of heavy gear and find this ZS100 to be a great alternative. The pictures are nearly of SLR quality and it has the flexibility to cover almost every shooting situation. All this in a really compact form factor. If you are willing to go a little bigger, then a Sony RX10 III or IV would be my next choice, but I wasn't willing to give up the small size and weight of this Panasonic.

i'm still outfitting it with accessories, but i've really been loving it so far. super easy to balance and use. using it with a jib, using it with magnetic car mounts, using it freestyle. considering a steadicam style vest for it. it's amazing what is achievable at these price points. and the free app can operate it as a motion-controlled remote, as well as updating firmware, calibrating motors, etc. high payload. really happy with what we're getting with this on our team.

I had my first Porta Brace back in 2003. I have rated it 5-stars in the past. I can't help but praise only the durability and versatile use of their bags and cases.
