Brother Printer And Scanner Software

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just love Brother brand, they make the best printers and scanners. My work uses all Brother printers. This scanner is just magnificent, super easy to set up, took me less than 2 minutes to do. I connected mine to wifi and was able to print it without any issues, prints comes out in high quality and straight, settings are easy to navigate thanks to touchscreen and it has all of the options you need. Scan to server, scan to SMP, scan to email, and etc., You can control the settings through the scanner itself, through app or a brother software utility on your PC. It does come with all the cables that you need to get it to work without wifi but my suggestion would be if you buying this, use the wifi, you can scan it anywhere. Set up a printer, download the brother full package software, install it and bam you have a wonderful scanner. Highly recommend it for businesses and even just for everyday home use. Definitely worth a price 5 |

I really like and use a lot of the options that are available on this printer/copier/scanner/fax. I previously owned another Brother machine that had performed well, but this one is even better. 5 |

I resell Brother printers all the time. This one went to a customer that requested another Brother all-in-one printer/scanner. They are thrilled with this one and the one they have had for several years. I highly recommend Brother printers. 5 |

I purchased this printer to replace an old Brother laser jet. Since my old Epson scanner was no longer compatible with the current OS, I liked that this printer had the ability to scan as well. Setup was super-easy out of the box. I'm in a Mac environment, and I had no problem whatsoever getting it up and running. The printer is much faster than my old one - faster to warm up and to print. Quality is great, although the color is a bit dark and off. I'm sure I can adjust this, but haven't looked into it yet. The scanner works great, but be aware that you must sign up for an HP account in order to be able to scan. Overall, no regrets with this purchase. It serves its purpose and meets my needs. 5 |

After reviewing various consumer product rating publications I selected this Brother MFC-L8610CDW based on both predicted reliability and features. I'm glad I did - it is working great as my primary home printer/scanner. I have two computers (one iMac and one MacBook Air) connected to the printer via WiFi. I did have to reinstall the Brother driver software and fiddle a bit to get the scanner button on the device to connect with my computers. The trick was to make sure, when you attempt the first scan from the MFC-L8610CDW, to go back to your computer and pres "accept" on the two firewall security messages that will show up. After that, everything worked great! 5 |

My problems were in getting the printer setup and printing. Specifically installing the software. I am not new to this having done IT work previously. This is obviously a new machine and that seemed to be the major problem. Plus I was hampered by slow download speeds as I have a satellite connection. First off I couldn't find this printer to load the proper software, it was the second day before I found it. I kept trying to install the software and drivers but the data was not getting to the machine, no drivers were installed. On the 4th morning I went to the support site and got a new front page which took me to the downloads for this printer. Most of this was the same methods I'd been following already but there was a difference at the end because this time all the data transferred to the machine like it was supposed to. This machine prints documents very fast and full page photos only slightly slower. The images are very sharp and clear. The photos print exactly as the original. Now that it is setup I am very pleased with this product. I think Brother specifically provided me with new software that worked. Perhaps I was among the first to try and load this software and the process had a glitch or two. So, Thanks Brother for the assistance. 5 |

I like the fact it does labels up to 1" wide and the software version is much better than the old version I had for an earlier PC compatible Brother Printer. 5 |

The printer makes very nice labels and with Brother's label software (free download) it becomes very powerful and versatile as well. Being able to use all your installed fonts as well as clip-art and photos is fantastic! 5 |

This little item is a breeze to plug in and set up. I use it directly through USB on my PC. The main thing I wanted to mention here is I did not install the Brother editing software. Printer driver yes, software, no. The application I'm using lets you choose your printer (as is normal with all apps). I then create a custom paper size that fits the restrictions of this little label maker, and after a couple tests and edits, my template is saved. After that, click and print. Oh, I'd like to mention. Its thermal. No ink. No toner. It's ready almost immediately after power up. It will shut off on its own, probably to conserve its' heater. Printed labels are quick. To sum it up, this is one of Brothers best products. One last thing. My understanding is, any Brother label products with model QL will fit this printer. 5 |
