I have gotten approximately 5,000 copies on this black cartridge. Brother is giving the consumer a cartridge that has a long life and ink dries so that water drops do not smear. Brother's support for my MFCJ6555DW printer has been outstanding even after I broke the MP tray assembly. It is rare to see a company support a home customer with such versatile printer. As a professional orchestra musician this is the ONLY printer that allows me to scan, enlarge or print sheet music parts for Organ, Cello and Contrabass on ledger size paper.
