Brother Printer Change Wifi Network

I had an 8-year old Brother printer that had bad connectivity issues in my home mesh WiFi environment. Then the time came that I had to replace all four toners, so instead I spent SIGNIFICANTLY less $$ to purchase this new machine complete with 6-months worth of toner (very light home office use; more scanning than printing). With this Canon I get modern WiFi to connect to our network. Everyone in the house can easily print from MacBooks, iPads & iPhones via WiFi. The Brother just couldn't find or stay connected to our network. Even plugging into the ethernet didn't solve that so the old printer could only be used w/ a USB cable. There are NONE of those issues with the Canon. Worked right out of the box like I expect from new tech. I'm impressed with the scanning software, too. Better than the Brother app, but YMMV So far very happy with this purchase. 5-stars. And as always, B&H makes tech buying simple. Plus next-day delivery over 100-miles from NYC. Flawless!! Thanks, B&H!! 5 |

This printer is so much better than its little brother as you can connect to wifi using the onboard processor. I would recommend upgrading to this and not spending so much time having to hook the 810 up to your computer every time you need to change something. 5 |

I needed to connect my Brother printer to my WIFI system, and the only was was to connect the printer to my computer with a USB cable. The 10 foot cable let me do this without relocating the printer. The cable worked fine and was well worth the money, and I am sure I will find a use for it in the future. Thanks B&H for your great prices and fast shipping. 5 |

We bought this to replace a different printer which never worked via wifi. We were constantly unplugging to re boot. Installating this printer was not fast and a bit frustrating at times. Forget the paper instructions and use the online tutorial(s). You will need to buy a specific USB cable. You may need to download updates and drivers for windows 11. Linking to our Androids was extremely easy. I'm still working on getting it to print whilst I'm away from my own wifi. It's probably not hard to do-and not a real priority at this time. That said, when first using the printer with the Android/pc/laptop all three brought up the previous printer. I had to set them to recognize the Brother, not the "Brother USB". Not hard to do. It is reasonably priced, reasonably fast and the quality is very good. 4x6 photos are very "good" though I've not enlarged one to 8x10 yet. I've printed 100 plus B&W and at least a dozen colour with the ink levels barely having moved. Buy the xl cartridges right away though. ALL printers like ink! So overall we are most pleased with this printer. 5 |

I prefer hard wire over wifi if I can do it, so I'm using this to connect to a Brother printer. Works well at a very good price. 5 |

Following instructions, it was easy to set up to my wifi. I had read reviews where people had difficulties connecting to wifi, i had no problems. My printer is our upstairs office, i can print to it anywhere in our house. What i like is being able to print from my phone. Before I had only HP products, I looked around for a new one, but they all had terrible ratings compared to this Brother printer. I switched from HP to Brother and am happy with the results. 5 |

We were a Brother household but was frustrated how difficult it was to reconnect printer with wifi (would help if there was a bigger screen than one line). Switched to HP and while the hookup was seemless, the quality of the print was sub-standard to Brother. So I upgraded to a bigger model ( just for a bigger LCD screen) and am happy. 5 |

This product prints adequately enough. However, the WiFi setup is clunky, burdensome, and at this point, impossible! I had to change my wifi settings on my router and start a new network. But, first, the printer does not recognize the network as it did with the first set up. I tried setting up again via my phone. Couldn't do it. I tried setting up on the microscopic printer window - and even typed in the network and the password - assuring that they were exactly correct. But, it still would not connect. I have zero use for a printer that cannot connect via WiFi! This is absurdly bad. Absolute waste. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start off by saying that this printer/scanner is perfect for the home office and what great you can print directly from your phone no computer needed, I will have to say that printing from your phone has some constraints also, the speed at which the document is sent may be stymied by your wifi network speed. I printed a 76 page user manual from my android phone through my wifi network every page had a 2 second pause on average probably because my network speed, and other things using bandwidth in my house. I scanned to print the test page it did show some degradation in details. Overall I would recommend this printer for a small home office / college situation. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely quick to setup. Quick to startup. Fast printing. Has support for WiFi printing, which is fantastic - esp for the price! That is, once the printer is setup the first time to connect to WiFi, other machines on the same network will see the printer and be able to use it. The USB connection can then be entirely disconnected. It's the cheapest and smallest network printer I've ever seen or used. It's also cute with a small footprint and an overall appealing design, and doesn't look like an ancient monstrosity - unlike most other printing devices. 5 |
