Brother Printer Duplex Scanning

Best printer ever. Duplex printing, scanning. Unbelievable.

This is our 3rd Brother printer. We like the features of these printers like double sided printing, duplex scanning, and most of all...new with this one...ink saver feature. We use it on a Mac network. Works great.

I bought this printer two years ago, and has been the best. Duplex printing and scanning, very low running cost (be sure to select the 'print to grayscake' option, to avoid using color cartridges on black text).

Printer is reliable thus far (about 4 months) has all features needed, color laser, duplex printing and scanning, and even orders it's own toners as needed. I did add a second tray so it chooses the source automatically based on paper type requeseted by the job printed. A bit slow on some jobs, as it pauses the print to preform some sort of internal cleaning / adjusting. But can't argue with the results, quality outputs at very reasonable price.

Have only had the new printer for a few weeks but so far we love the duplex scanning feature and single sheet rear feeder because I do a lot of 1 off printing on special paper. Still learning all the tricks it can do but so far so good.

This printer has performed everything I have demanded so far without any issues. I tested the duplex scanning, two-sided printing, and printed a photo. My wife uses it for teaching/classroom print jobs. Everything looks pretty crisp. I have only had this for less than two weeks. I used to be an Epson fan due to the photo quality but this will be fine for general purpose printing and hobby photo printing, and the ink tank format should save lots of $ down the road. I'm making a weekly scheduled reminder to print out a test page to keep the jets flowing properly, no matter who much or how little we use it. Haven't used the fax function, so no feedback there. Set up was straight-forward.

I've used many Brother Printers over the years and have found them to be very functional, hardworking, long lasting units. This printer is no exception. The only negative I have about this printer is that it won't do automatic duplex scanning. You have to duplex scan manually. Other than that, this is a terrific printer.

Exceeds my copying, scanning, and printing needs. I really like the duplex option.

I had an 8-year old Brother printer that had bad connectivity issues in my home mesh WiFi environment. Then the time came that I had to replace all four toners, so instead I spent SIGNIFICANTLY less $$ to purchase this new machine complete with 6-months worth of toner (very light home office use; more scanning than printing). With this Canon I get modern WiFi to connect to our network. Everyone in the house can easily print from MacBooks, iPads & iPhones via WiFi. The Brother just couldn't find or stay connected to our network. Even plugging into the ethernet didn't solve that so the old printer could only be used w/ a USB cable. There are NONE of those issues with the Canon. Worked right out of the box like I expect from new tech. I'm impressed with the scanning software, too. Better than the Brother app, but YMMV So far very happy with this purchase. 5-stars. And as always, B&H makes tech buying simple. Plus next-day delivery over 100-miles from NYC. Flawless!! I absolutely love the speed of scanning. Printing quality is superb. I have owned nothing but Brother printer/scanner/fax/copier for over 15 plus years. This machine is a beast and very happy I purchased it.
