Brother Printer For Home

Our second Brother printer, would not have anything else !

I upgraded to this printer from the Brother HL-3170CDW, which is also a great printer. With Covid work from home and 2 adults, 3 children (one being highschooler), I wanted to upgrade to a faster, more efficient printer. I am very happy with the new printer and would highly recommend this for work from home/home school families.

I had an 8-year old Brother printer that had bad connectivity issues in my home mesh WiFi environment. Then the time came that I had to replace all four toners, so instead I spent SIGNIFICANTLY less $$ to purchase this new machine complete with 6-months worth of toner (very light home office use; more scanning than printing). With this Canon I get modern WiFi to connect to our network. Everyone in the house can easily print from MacBooks, iPads & iPhones via WiFi. The Brother just couldn't find or stay connected to our network. Even plugging into the ethernet didn't solve that so the old printer could only be used w/ a USB cable. There are NONE of those issues with the Canon. Worked right out of the box like I expect from new tech. I'm impressed with the scanning software, too. Better than the Brother app, but YMMV So far very happy with this purchase. 5-stars. And as always, B&H makes tech buying simple. Plus next-day delivery over 100-miles from NYC. Flawless!! I have a business I'm running from home because of Covid-19. The Brother Printer handles everything I need. Great that it does color as well as black and white and its speed is more than adequate for my needs. Very satisfied.

I bought this printer to replace an older color inkjet printer in my home office. I decided to go with Brother based on their reputation, printer features that I required, and price. So far this printer has performed very well and I would recommend it.

I've had this printer for over 6 months and am very happy I ordered it over an inkjet for use in small home business. It works great—fast, high quality printing, simple to setup, and easy to "air print" from our phones, iMacs, and laptop—but even beyond that, I'm thrilled with Brother for their exceptional customer service. When I used the wrong paper and damaged the fuser, they replaced the under-warranty printer at no cost to me. It was an easy process, and the result is a very happy customer. Because of that, I added a Brother Inkjet printer for my wife for general home use and photo printing, and it works great, too. Granted, exceptional customer service isn't always something that compels you to buy a product—but it's a huge difference maker if you ever actually have a problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new Brother printer was very easy to install out of the box. It only took a few minutes. After connecting to WiFi, our laptops had no trouble finding the printer and sending jobs to it. The colors are crisp and it’s prints projects quickly. I personally love the laser ink finish more than our old inkjet—no smudges or messes! The printer also has integrated scan and copy features, making it a versatile and compact home or small business tool. I frequently work from home, so the printer will definitely be useful in that regard. We also have a 5-year-old and we are busy making holiday crafts with help from the printer!

Our last Brother printer is still going strong after 9 years of daily use in our home office, but we decided to add this one after another brand color printer failed and we couldn’t be more pleased. Love all the features like 2 sided printing - that will save so much paper! Brother printers are the best on the market.

Now I can print at home with the new Brother printer which is very fast and reliable. Its original needs to be changed but it still prints well so I imagine the new high yield toner cartridge will even do better.

Brother printer needs to use brother ink. I bought another brand ink that did not work.
