Brother Printer Ocr Software Download

The printer makes very nice labels and with Brother's label software (free download) it becomes very powerful and versatile as well. Being able to use all your installed fonts as well as clip-art and photos is fantastic! 5 |

I have used this scanner, and its nearly identical predecessor DR-4010C for nearly 20 years. It is heavy duty and reliable, with no issues or problems. After closing my law office, I scanned and converted several hundred boxes of client files to PDF computer files, before shredding all the paper. This scanner easily processed everything, and more, and continues to work well. I quickly scan whole books to PDF computer files, before converting them to text with OCR software, so the computer can read them using text-to-speech software. It just keeps on working as it should. This is the singularly best piece of office equipment I ever purchased. There is good reason Canon still makes this model with no apparent changes. You bet, I would buy it again. Sidebar Observation - I enjoy using this scanner with Canon's new I.R.I.S. PDF and OCR program, which works well and is well worth its comparatively low price. I have used most of the other major OCR and PDF programs, including, but not limited to, PaperPort, OmniPage, TextBridge, ABBYY OCR, Foxit PDF, Adobe Acrobat, Nitro PDF, and several others programs, and Canon's I.R.I.S. application is my current favorite. I bought the scanner mainly so I could throw away paper copies and keep scanned ones. The feeder takes multiple pages at at time, and the software is only asking to prompt you for a file name. You can chose if you want multiple pages in a single document or each page in its own file. Unfortunately, it's not clever enough to scan two documents in the feeder and automatically detect that they should be saved under two separate filenames, so you'll need to feed it accordingly. It scans directly to PDF and do some OCR work to make documents searchable if you put them in Google drive. It also comes bundled with Abby FineReader which seems to do a better job with the OCR and supports languages other than English. Using is also easy because it won't ask you for anything, it'll just read the file, OCR it, and delete the original with let it, which is what I wanted. The email feature isn't what I thought it does. It just scans and opens your email software with an attachment. That's the only negative point about this scanner. It's smart, but still just a desktop scanner, not a workspace floor level scanner. The WiFi and screen are nice features, but it still need a laptop running the software to receive any image it scans, it's not truly standalone as some other department level devices. Having said that, if you scan a fewer dozen short documents per week this would be perfect for you. If you work in law or need to scan 100 page contracts - you'd want a model with a feeder with a higher capacity. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, it's fast scanning scanner with a great OCR performance. The quality of the scanned image is great and the software is packed with so many features to adjust according to your task. I am really impressed with the quality and performance of this scanner. I am currently using a scanner from a well-know brand and this scanner proved to do an equally great job on almost every aspect of scanning, and surpassed on some aspects. OCR quality is one of my top criteria to judge the performance. It is as accurate as it can get and I didn't see any mistakes with the many documents I scanned. The quality of the picture is awesome as well. I scanned some pages from a textbook and I could hardly notice it's a scan and not an original PDF if I didn't know beforehand. The only area it was kind of lacking was to white out the edges of the paper even when the relate setting was marked in the software. Overall, I do recommend it with confidence. 5 |

I previously used a Fujitsu Scansnap S-1500. This review is written in comparison to that device. Pros: * The Epson RR-600W is fast to setup and easy to use. This is facilitated by the touchscreen that allows you to directly input your Wi-Fi information. * The Epson has a large volume paper feed, holding 100 pages. * The Epson is scans significantly faster than the Fujitsu. It automatically selects color vs grayscale or B&W and duplex scans. * The touchscreen and wireless connectivity are very convenient, so you can scan to any computer on your network (or to USB or a cloud drive). * The automated receipt software with integrated OCR is unique and convenient for being able to feed various finance programs. Cons: * I prefer how the Fujitsu folds up when not in use. This prevents dust from entering into the paper feed slot. The Epson paper feed is fixed. * The Epson is a bit bigger than the Fujitsu. This is partially due to the Epson not having a folding paper feed. * With the bundled software, the Fujitsu is able to automate OCR for scanned files in the background. It doesn’t appear that the Epson is able to do that (except for receipts). With the bundled Kofax software, you have to manually select the files that you want to OCR. This is a review for the Epson RR-600W Wireless Duplex Touchscreen Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. 5 |

I had been using a Micrroboards G4 printer for years. It is now a dinosaur, and very hard to get printer ink and there have been no updates for any drivers since Windows 7. It finally gave up the ghost and I decided to try the Bravo SE-3. I am absolutely delighted with the print quality! Right out of the box everything was calibrated and my first test print of one of my designs was absolutely flawless. This printer is much faster than my old one and I haven't had any jams or miss printed discs. I am absolutely delighted with this printer! Set up was very simple with no problems and I was up and running within 5 minutes of starting the whole set up process. My two previous Microboard printers required a great deal of time to calibrate and even get the software to load. Not this one! My only minor complaint is that the manufacturer needs to update their easy set up sheet. It says that there are software discs included but that isn't true. You have to go online and download the software, which is very quick and only a few megabytes. But there's no indication of that in the included documentation with the printer. Other than that it was very simple, and tech-support was prompt and efficient. I called them, they answered promptly, telling me to go to the website to download the software. So Primera, please revise that set up instruction sheet (dated 2016) to reflect that you download the drivers and design software! Ordering was super easy, and the printer arrived exactly when promised and in perfect shape. 5 |

My problems were in getting the printer setup and printing. Specifically installing the software. I am not new to this having done IT work previously. This is obviously a new machine and that seemed to be the major problem. Plus I was hampered by slow download speeds as I have a satellite connection. First off I couldn't find this printer to load the proper software, it was the second day before I found it. I kept trying to install the software and drivers but the data was not getting to the machine, no drivers were installed. On the 4th morning I went to the support site and got a new front page which took me to the downloads for this printer. Most of this was the same methods I'd been following already but there was a difference at the end because this time all the data transferred to the machine like it was supposed to. This machine prints documents very fast and full page photos only slightly slower. The images are very sharp and clear. The photos print exactly as the original. Now that it is setup I am very pleased with this product. I think Brother specifically provided me with new software that worked. Perhaps I was among the first to try and load this software and the process had a glitch or two. So, Thanks Brother for the assistance. 5 |
