This is one of the best choices out there for a B&W All-in-One. We go through a Brother All-n-One every two years and get the rated 100,000 pages out of them with zero down-time and no breakdowns. This is a communal, open-access device and is used for printing, copying, scanning, and Faxing. Just use any decent multi-purpose copy paper. Although the DR-820 drum is rated for only 30,000 pages you can actually get 50,000 pages out of them if you read the fine print in the Brother literature. Calculating using the B&H cost for the L5800DW, TN-850 toners and a DR-820 drum I found that it costs about 2.5 cents/page for each page printed over the 100,000 page lifetime not counting the cost of the paper. The latest Brother 5000-series (like the L5800DW) are very speedy in printing and scanning and just about jam-proof. The one advantage of the L5800DW is that it does not have a duplexing document feeder which can be prone to jamming if you try to feed junky paper documents into them. The duplex, two-sided printing works flawlessly over the 100,000 lifetime. The only reason we bought this one is that it replaced the equivalent Brother All-in-One unit that I bought 9 years ago and had made its 100,000 pages.

My Brother ink cartridge provides numerous pages of clearly printing data. It is long lasting and I consider it a great value.

It is the 229 XL for the brother printer it gives you the instructions on the back tells you how to install it shows you where to install it tells you if it’s going to fit your computer or your printer sorry and just gives you every little bit of information that you need. I heavily approved brother and that’s literally the only printer I will ever use. I don’t remember the name of mine but it prints up to 12,000 pages before me needing to refill it. They are slightly pricey for the cartridges but they lost a very long time and this is the most dependable printer I have ever had and two kids in homeschool I am absolutely in love with this printer, and I definitely will not buy another brand ever again. I have not had any bits of issues with this one and it’s amazing

Excellent printer... fast b&w printing,,, however, color printing is very slow compared to other brother color printers I've had.

This is our 3rd Brother printer. We like the features of these printers like double sided printing, duplex scanning, and most of all...new with this one...ink saver feature. We use it on a Mac network. Works great.

My brother printer is old. The drum was busted. I ordered a new one and installed it and now is printing perfectly!

The wifi connectivity features make it so you do not need a cable and setup the printer in a different room than your computer. The HP LaserJet M234sdw printer was very easy to setup and use. The print speed a fast 30 pages per minute. As I had an ink jet before I prefer this is there is no smudging of ink, I printed some of my HOA documents, about 400 pages and the printer handled it great. The setup was super simple and easy. You are guided through the setup so even a novice can do it.

This printer is amazing. It gives you test pages for you to pick which lines are better n it does a great job if we print from our iPads but not so great from a windows laptop. I think the prints from this printer is better than Walmart printed photos. Plus with the cartridge less printing it uses almost no ink. We have printed so many 8x10s n the line hasn’t moved yet. With the 6 color printing it gives very vibrant photos. Would definitely recommend to friends
