I have had brother printers for a long time, and have tried third party toners and drum units, but all of them have failed in some way or the other. The original drum unit in my Brother DCP-L2540DW was at least 6 years old, and the printer has been my main printer. It has had fairly heavy use at times. The prints started having toner dumps on the page, with streaks, and blotches. After changing the drum unit, it is printing like new again. Will keep this printer for as long as it continues to work. 5 |

The previous drum unit became noisy sometime before the Replacement Warning appeared, but it never stopped making good copies. The machine quieted down with the new drum. This is a several-year-old refurbished machine that hasn't missed a beat. Shipment was super fast. 5 |
