Brother Printer Scanner Combo

I really like and use a lot of the options that are available on this printer/copier/scanner/fax. I previously owned another Brother machine that had performed well, but this one is even better.

I resell Brother printers all the time. This one went to a customer that requested another Brother all-in-one printer/scanner. They are thrilled with this one and the one they have had for several years. I highly recommend Brother printers.

I purchased this printer to replace an old Brother laser jet. Since my old Epson scanner was no longer compatible with the current OS, I liked that this printer had the ability to scan as well. Setup was super-easy out of the box. I'm in a Mac environment, and I had no problem whatsoever getting it up and running. The printer is much faster than my old one - faster to warm up and to print. Quality is great, although the color is a bit dark and off. I'm sure I can adjust this, but haven't looked into it yet. The scanner works great, but be aware that you must sign up for an HP account in order to be able to scan. Overall, no regrets with this purchase. It serves its purpose and meets my needs.

After reviewing various consumer product rating publications I selected this Brother MFC-L8610CDW based on both predicted reliability and features. I'm glad I did - it is working great as my primary home printer/scanner. I have two computers (one iMac and one MacBook Air) connected to the printer via WiFi. I did have to reinstall the Brother driver software and fiddle a bit to get the scanner button on the device to connect with my computers. The trick was to make sure, when you attempt the first scan from the MFC-L8610CDW, to go back to your computer and pres "accept" on the two firewall security messages that will show up. After that, everything worked great!

I did extensive research into whether or not to get a printer/scanner combo, or to keep my printer as a stand-alone and get a separate scanner. I am very glad I chose the latter; this is a superb document scanner. Other brands don't do automatic OCR. This scanner does the OCR when you scan it, so it doesn't become a laborious extra step after you've scanned the document. It's very easy to set up the scanner to upload the scans directly to Google Drive, which is one of the primary places where I save my documents. It has a number of customizable destinations that you can program and tap with a button, like specific settings and destinations for receipts, or other settings one might want for a particular type of document. The white version is pretty and has a fold-over cover that stores easily into a cabinet when not in use. This is certainly the scanner to get.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this couple weeks ago and quite amazed by its performance. Compared to my previous printer/scanner combo devices, this scanner is just lightning fast! 35 pages per minute! The document feeder can be adjusted to different sizes from small picture sizes to large document prints (8.5 inches width and 53 inches length max). I like that has easy option to scan single or double sided documents and scans double sides in a single pass. One other huge plus for this scanner is the small size. This doesn't take office space and can be closed /folded to a small size. Setup was very easy with clear direction. The Epson ScanSmart software is very user friendly and provides many document editing and management functionality. This device is definitely a huge improvement if you constantly have to digitize documents/print media. The speed and quality is far better than having to use a printer/combo scanner or just taking pictures with the phone. Highly recommended!

Our second Brother printer, would not have anything else !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just love Brother brand, they make the best printers and scanners. My work uses all Brother printers. This scanner is just magnificent, super easy to set up, took me less than 2 minutes to do. I connected mine to wifi and was able to print it without any issues, prints comes out in high quality and straight, settings are easy to navigate thanks to touchscreen and it has all of the options you need. Scan to server, scan to SMP, scan to email, and etc., You can control the settings through the scanner itself, through app or a brother software utility on your PC. It does come with all the cables that you need to get it to work without wifi but my suggestion would be if you buying this, use the wifi, you can scan it anywhere. Set up a printer, download the brother full package software, install it and bam you have a wonderful scanner. Highly recommend it for businesses and even just for everyday home use. Definitely worth a price
