Brother Printer Tn 420 Wireless Setup

Purchased Brother HLL2480DW Wireless Black and White Laser Printer after with have an HP printer for a long time. What a difference! Easy set up and troubleshooting, quick printing and print quality.

After much agonizing over types, styles, prices and brand names I arrived at what would be best for my situation... instead of ink jet or mega tank the laser printer won. Now ...what kind? I chose Brother and Im thrilled at the outcome. I dont print much anymore but when I do its going to be something essential . The laser is ready , boots up smoothly, prints quickly and the page is sharp and clear. I did have a slight problem in setup., which was downloaded from the Brother site. It asked for some number that was supposedly on the printer somewhere.....it was not. So I kept looking and found another Brother site for setup and this one worked beautifully. Ot only took a minute or so and it was ready to rock. Since then Ive printed several pages for both written word and artist reditions of animals to use for hobby work and all came out perfectly. I even like the size.of the printer which has a footprint about the same dimensions as my old ink jet., but with a distinctive more compact style. And for the price I paid.....I'm super impressed.

I tried two different brands of 'just as good as OEM' TN-315BK toner cartridges for my Brother HL-4150CDN laser printer. Neither brand printed as black nor lasted as long as a genuine Brother cartridge. One even ran out of toner after only 250 pages. B&H carries genuine Brother cartridges and sells them for a lower price than office supply stores even though you have to pay shipping.

I have a couple Brother printers here in the office that use this TN-760 cartridge and they consistently exceed the estimated page count. I've had the same experience with previous models including the one I've had at home for the last 6 years. YMMV, if you are printing something other than text documents with bar codes and engineering drawings. I can project a budget and meet it every time plus I can send the empty cartridge back to be recycled.

I have had a Brother label printer for the past 8 years and have loved it. I got a new one and again love it. It's easy to install and easy to use. My next one I would love for it to be wireless. That would make it perfect.

I bought this printer to replace my old Brother printer (still working but wanted the wireless feature). I couldn't be happier with this product. By the way, I also have a Brother 6 color embroidery machine, and a Brother Scan and Cut. I rely on the Brother embroidery machine for average 8-10 hours a day and really need to upgrade to a 9-11 color. BUT, my 6 color just keeps rocking on, and on, and on.

The print quality is amazing, and I'm impressed by its speed - it churns out documents in seconds. What's more, the toner efficiency is remarkable, meaning I won't have to replace cartridges as often as with my previous printer. The only downside was the initial connectivity. It took a while to get this process right. Although I typically breeze through setting up new electronics, I may have overlooked a simple step in this case. Once I figured it out, though, it was smooth sailing. Overall, it's an excellent printer!
