This can balance really long lenses brilliantly... if that's your goal, get it... it's a brute! :)

The Porta Brace Matte Box Case is a brute of a case...while it's labeled as a matte box case, it can really serve a number of functions. Not quite wide enough to hold a DSLR with the matte box attached, but still big enough to hold the matte box, filters, French flag, rods, and tripod adapter, and still have room for a small external monitor with mounting gear and batteries.

Inexpensive and easy to use. Just takes a little brute force to open/close the binder and rings.

This gimbal is a brute. It can handle almost anything. It has so much versatility; great for landscapes very good for wildlife. It is a gimbal that easily becomes a panning head. It has the previously unseen moveable gimbal arm for panoramic shots. And it is a horse; they say 61 lbs limit but it feels like more. I also have a Kitana which is fabulous and spins with the ease of a top. This is stiffer but unmatched for versatility. I have a tripod mounted on a wheeled cart. This is the head that I use there. It is strong, firmly lockable, and has those unique safety buttons that can insure that your lens will not slide off. I use a 12" Arca Swiss plate for both my 200-600mm and 600mm lenses with this head with no problems. Ins short, BRUTE BUILD AND STENGTH, FEATURES NOT SEEN ON ANY OTHER HEAD, AND VERSATILE. This mini brute provides enough spread and strength for a larger spotting scope. The thick, cast alloy legs have bushed joints and can be adjusted with an Allen wrench, and the rubber feet provide good contact in all positions. Even after adding a large ball head, it is compact and lightweight enough to be stowed in the case with the scope. Good deal!

I have to say that this stand exceeded my expectations. This thing is a brute. Sturdy, shiny, strong and exceptionally built. The mechanism to move the legs around is genius and it feels like a hurricane couldn't blow this thing over. This is the first time I've ever purchased a quality stand and it won't be the last. If you want a great and beautiful stand for a good price, this is it!

I used my case for my scuba diving regulator and my dive watches and transmitters. Also was able to fit in the hose for my regulator as well as my compass and 3 flashlights.
