Budget Gaming Headphones 2014
Infrequent Flyer | 2024-07-01 03:12:34 |
Bought the first set (8/2014)for use on a cross country flight based on claims and reviews stating the amount of outside noise rejection, since jet engines really bother my ears. The price was very appealing. Based on their physical size I also bought an external power source for my tiny cheap MP3 player, thinking that the internal battery would not last long while driving these headphones. The noise rejection was great, and at the volume level I was using, the MP3 player battery never needed recharging. March 2015-- away from home (no MP3 or headphones) and had to make an unexpected trip. Bought a 2nd set, the originals can be my wife's since she likes them too. On my return flights there were no entertainment services at all, and I used the headphones for their noise reduction alone. They are large over the ear types, but very soft padded and comfortable for me over long periods of time. Very satisfied. For the money, an excellent product. 5 |

I am learning to enjoy my ASUS 15.6 Vivobook. It is a replacement for my nearly 14 year old laptop that has seen better days. I am on a limited budget, but I didn't want mediocre specs that would be outdated in 6 months. I do mainly internet browsing, some productivity work (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.), some low intensity gaming, and on occasion some video editing for my socials. Bottom line - You should probably get one while qtys and pricing are good. Pros - It has the specs I wanted (i9 CPU, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) at a great price. More than enough computing power for gaming, casual internet browsing, and the occasional homework/essay. It included FREE 2-Day Shipping - I am on the West Coast. Screen colors are vibrant, keyboard is keyboard-y with backlit keys. The laptop itself is not the lightest out there, but is hardly the boat anchor ROG ASUS I still own that is on its last legs. It's offered thru a reputable dealer. Cons (ish) - Only 1920x1080 resolution and no touchscreen. I haven't really encountered any other negatives so far. It's been a while since I purchased MY own laptop. To be transparent, I have helped recommend and even purchased several laptops over the years for my family and friends. My previous-current laptop is a still-running ASUS G51J (i7 CPU 1st Gen, 6GB RAM, 500GB 2.5 HDD) - battery doesn't charge, but still works plugged in. I purchased it from B&H also circa 2010. Being a frugal tinkerer myself, but wanting the best value for my budget, I researched and compared several buying sources including big box stores, national (U.S.) retail chains and even Amazon, but I still chose B&H. Even though I am on the West Coast, I still found value in the products they offer as well as the service and buying experience. Did I mention FREE 2-Day shipping from the East Coast (NY). Hope this review helps. 5 |

When this came out it wasn't the greatest CPU especially at an MSRP of about $80-$90 when it was released. But for $60 this makes a great budget gaming CPU capable of playing even today's PC titles. Highly recommend this CPU for a budget gaming PC build. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this monitor on sale to replace a 27in gaming monitor cause I needed more desktop to multitask and wanted a bigger gaming monitor all in one. This fits the requirements and within my budget. There are no dead pixels that I can see and the mini leds are awesome. I have noticed some light bleed, but only on dark blank screens like season 8 GoT, but are not noticed during game play. The gaming overlay can be annoying when you are just waking it up, but doesn't come up unless you want it to. The connections are plenty to have this as a monitor, a console screen, and a smart TV. Try not to have this in the same room with another Samsung tv, as it will wake and or turn on or off with the other remotes. Solid smart monitor and it came with cables! Want to get another one, but the wife won't let me get a bigger desk, until we get a bigger house...haha! If you are a high end gamer, you might not like it, but check out the more in depth reviews to make a decision. Everyone else on a gaming budget, catch this monitor on sale, you won't regret it. 5 |

Arguably the best budget 1080p gaming monitor that you can buy. Great colors, even though its a little saturated, but I like that look. Impressive features like Freesync, 165hz (up to 180hz OC), 1ms response time (although a bit misleading), and its IPS panel. It's sharp, has good customizability, and is overall very good. There isnt really anything bad I can say about this monitor. BUY IT! 5 |

Im using this RAM with a low-end budget gaming build: AMD Ryzen 3 2200g, Asus Prime B350M-A, 128GB PNY SSD, 1TB WD Blue 7200RPM HDD Ive never have had the experience of having more than 4GB of ram in my pc, and I hope that this RAM will perform well in the future, and I might buy this again if an upgrade is needed. Im also looking ahead to overclocking the RAM so that it will work better with the CPU, and so that my gaming experience will be better than before. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are looking for a budget gaming ultra wide then look no more. The picture for this price range is fabulous and the adjustable height stand with tilt is a nice feature. HDMI, Display Port and USB-C connections. USB-C. make sure you get a 20GB or higher transfer rate or no video signal for you. 5 |

Great budget chip. Using it for gaming and the single core performance is very high. Can't be beat at this price point. Stock cooler works fine. 5 |
