Mic, Pre-Amp, and Headphone Amp in an all-in-one package! Nice to be able to use a USB mic without the need for a separate pre-amp. Really like the headphone jack incorporated into the unit with separate gain controls for the headphone volume. 5 |

It's really good. Coming from a headphone mic, the Samson is louder, with lesser noise. Good purchase 5 |

For this low of a price, I have not found a better sounding headphone---it destroys some headphones at 3 to 4 times its price. I play music ( hobby) and my tastes are varied--will listen to anything--love jazz/fusion/ rock/classical/electronic/world/gospel/acoustic/new age / DCI drum corps. I am running a standard laptop and an old Audioquest Dragonfly v1.0 DAC--poor man's budget stuff, nothing fancy. With this combo, depth, soundstage, instrument timbres and tonal balance are amazing at this price. CONS: semi-fragile construction--take care of them ( ! ), presently a goofy look ( consumers may want to get out the Krylon !-- my opinion--sorry, Koss ! What happened to the-- more attractive IMHO-- all black KTXPRO design?). Very satisfying sound; I continue to be impressed every time I listen. Personally, I think this is a budget audiophile classic, and I have been a fan of it for decades through its various incarnations ( even back to the Optimus Pro 35 Radio Shack days !) A MUST buy on a budget---you will not be disappointed at this price. Despite the present look ( ! ), well done, Koss ! 5 |

Simple good value. I like that all Arturia Microfreak had the hidden Vocoder capability and this mic (with the headphone out ) enables it elegantly. I'd tend complain that as an accessory it wasn't included with the Microfreak but when Arturia priced it affordably (in contrast to teenage engineering accessories) and gave us the new Vocoder feature as a firmware add then it's really a gift. Love Arturia. 5 |

I have no major issue with this case, good build quality, but there is no mic/headphone combo jack, only separate, so you need a adapter to use a combo headset. 5 |

This comes as a two part device. It is a very good sounding TRS plug-in-power mic, and an inexpensive USB audio dongle with an input and a headphone output. It is NOT a TRRS device (which I think it said it was somewhere), and a trrs is only generally used for something with both a headphone and a mic. The mic sounds very good, any self noise well below the living room background noise, good sensitivity. I used it with a handheld recorder which supplies about 2.5 volts, which is required by this condenser mic. I suspect that the ring on the TRS plug is not connected to anything, just there to avoid contact with something that could cause a problem. On this windows 7 computer, the USB device did not work, and I was not going to use it anyway, so I am only reporting on the microphone. I did not troubleshoot the USB dongle, could have been a reboot or something would fix it. I suspect previous reviewer (Karen) had either a defective device, or misunderstood how to use it, or had the same trouble I had with the USB part. 5 |
