Budget Headphones With Mic And Bass

As an amateur filmmaker I am on quite a tight budget (as most amateurs are) and was looking for the right shotgun mic for flexible recording situations (echoey rooms, outdoors, etc.) My search eventually led me to the NTG-2, which (through way of YouTube and reviews) seemed to be the best choice for the price range I was in. Being more specific, the side rejection on the mic is fantastic. The mic also has fantastic bass response, which is something that I had read about but was not expecting to be too impressed with. The high pass filter is very useful in those well...high-pass needy situations (I have only encountered a couple) and the attenuation of the bass is not too shabby. I love the ability to run the mic off of a 1.5V AA battery, although with a 48V phantom power supply the self-generated noise is greatly reduced (to the point where it's noticeable). I use the mic mainly for my amateur films as well as voiceovers and marching/jazz band music recordings.

This is just the budget mic I was looking for to pair with a sm57 when mic'ing my guitar amp. The bass response really fattens up the recorded tone when paired with the mid forward sm57. Add an AT2020 for as a room mic for top end and ambience and you can record some pretty solid guitar tracks.

I was looking for some headphones on a budget and these really offer some good quality for the price. Using them to monitor the mic on a video camera. Does great at blocking the outside noise.

These are the best headphones I’ve ever used they are comfortable sand have a lot of bass.

Sounds so much better then my Sony headphones. Lots of clarity and a warm bass.
