Budget Podcast Microphones

I have a travel podcast studio so the PodTrak P4 is perfect for my setup. Traveling to different guests and clients around the country is super easy with this recording device. The other options were too big and clunky. This fits right in a backpack super easy. The sound quality is amazing. My different microphones work perfectly, even the condenser microphones! I'd suggest everyone use the PodTrak P4 for recording multiple podcast guests at a time.

I purchased two Audio-Technica ATR2100x microphones for my travel podcast setup. These microphones are perfect for my additional guests on my podcasts. My podcast clients use these microphones when interviews are conducted.

Does the trick for my podcast recording. Light years better than using cheaper microphones or (god forbid) earbud mics or an internal computer microphone. Recommended by a few professionals for this exact application. Shipping was very quick to boot!

Sound quality on these things are amazing for the price. A VERY solid podcast mic. Great low-budget option. Small suggestion - buy a pop filter along side with the mic. It will help.

Our summer youth media camp is on a limited budget. We could not afford the $600wireless microphones recommended by one of our teachers. This recommendation from our BandH rep is working great! We used the mikes during a recent on-set shoot.

It is surprising how this little piece of gear takes down so many other microphones. I have heard over 100 budget microphones but non sounds as musical as this microphone. I'm quite pleased with my purchase and recommend this item for anyone who intends to purchase a mic in this range. Sound wise it takes down my NT1a.

I bought my first of these in 2011, and it's still going strong. Of the numerous budget microphones I've tried in the last nine years, this one remains the best lav I've used. I haven't experienced any issue with the wire shorting out. The signal continues to come through strong and clear. The main downside for me is the size of the mic itself, which is far larger than other options and is quite noticeable on the subjects while filming. I gladly accept that tradeoff for the reliable, quality sound.

If you're on a budget and in need of a dynamic microphone the Elgato Wave DX is the one to get. Other microphones in this price range either sound too broadcasty or too nasally. But, the Elgato sounds full and clear without adding coloration.
