At first, I was uncertain if FedEx would ship a Pelican without an outer box. They totally will. I had been shipping medium-sized gear for photo and video shoots in FedEx's large cardboard boxes, and those things were getting destroyed. This was certainly a large investment compared to cardboard, but I feel WAY more secure about shipping expensive gear around the country, knowing it's totally safe. I really should have invested in a large Pelican sooner. Two shipments in, it's already scuffed and dinged, but it is taking the wear really well. In fact, this is leading me to believe I might want to snag one of the smaller ones too as a carry-on. You won't be disappointed. Related, I did invest in a small lock. I'm probably going to get a second lock, since there are two lockable latches. 5 |

The Rocket Ship, no doubt designed by the same team that planned transportation for Tom Corbett - Space Cadet, works perfectly to blow dust away from lenses and CCD sensors. Turning your SLR camera pointed to the floor with the mirror locked in the up position allows easy cleaning of the CCD with a powerful puff of air from the Rocket.
