You couldn't ask for a much better microphone without spending double or triple what this one costs. Before buying I listened to some YouTube condenser microphone tests, try it yourself. I only use it for recording voices but the audio quality is excellent. The only complaint I have is that the built-in mesh pop filter doesn't block P, T, F, B, etc. plosives but I didn't expect it to work as well as a traditional filter, and I certainly didn't choose this mic for that feature. I got the free shock mount in the mail as well and it is very good quality. I'm quite satisfied.

Excellent accompaniment to the Matthews double riser or triple riser baby junior stands. The boom is a lot more solid than it looks in the picture. It will easily carry any light and modifier that you can put on it as long as it is counter balanced properly. My only wish is that it had a hook on the end for hanging weight such as the mini boom. However easily addable, the back end is thick steel and has a hole in it that can be easily tapped. Excellent boom, works perfectly and makes life a lot easier, especially when doing portraits.

I'm not a professional photographer so im not sure why i would spend double or triple what i paid for my Tiffen. I have Tiffen UVs, Polorizers, Clear and Variable Neutral Density Filters plus Tiffen step down and step rings. All my Tiffen Filters and Accessories work terrific for the types of shooting I do.
