Building A Video Editing Pc

I debated for a long time about building a PC for video editing, and quickly realized that I would never achieve the same power in such a compact space. 5 |

My last PC was so slow especially for video editing. The HP Envy is much much faster! 5 |

I needed a big HDD for my video editing build in a gaming PC platform and this was just the ticket. I was concerned about shipping, packaging etc because of others' reviews, but it came in a box with molded plastic end pieces holding it away from the sides securely. No complaints! The drive rarely makes noise that can be heard over my cooling fans, and when it does, it's just normal HDD sounds I've heard all PCs make in the past. 5 |

I use these headphones with my pc as well as my home stereo system. Great for everything at home: video editing, music, movies. They isolate yet leave space for sound reproduction, and they look great. Occasionally the head band rubs the top of my head wrong after hours of use, but I think this is more attributable to how I was wearing them initially, plus the fact that I have been keep my hair cropped short. Best pair of headphones I have ever owned. 5 |

I use it on a Windows PC in Raid O to get the most speed for video editing. You have to back up the drive for protection. I use a NAS to avoid any electrostatic discharge from USB ports. Look at QNAP for the NAS. 5 |

Bought this burner with a new HP PC - I do quite a bit of video editing, and usually burn videos to Blue-Ray. Have not had a moment of trouble with this unit, which contains a Pioneer burner. Everything seems to work perfectly. 5 |

I recently built yet another video editing PC. Previously I combined them with an external SAS Raid. This time, I populated 3 of these cages with 2TB SSDs (24 TB total) and used an Areca ARC-1883ix-12, and put them inside the PC case. Doing this saved me 3-4K over my usual raid costs. 5 |

I bought the pro 12/19 core version with 16 gigs of RAM, which is essentially the same system as the 16 MacBook Pro that I have. To that end, I knew exactly what to expect. I learned quickly that the ability to do all the things in DaVinci Resolve was possible with this configuration, with plenty of computing breathing room. But I don't like to do a lot of long-form editing on the laptop because of hard drive space, so the Mini allows me to plug in silly fast NVMe drives via Thunderbolt 4. Scrubbing timelines is butter smooth, even with color grading and compositing. You need to pack in a few layers before you can really bog it down, but I imagine that for 95% of editing, you can enjoy it at full resolution without proxies. It was a toss-up between this and PC upgrades, but because video editing relies so much on GPU's now, going the PC route (for now) meant huge cost in video cards, not to mention crazy electric bills. If you're an indie guy or work with small budgets, this is an easy decision. 5 |

I purchased these for monitors I'm running on my pc for video editing and voice over work. They were part of a kit (stands, TRS cables). They work great Thank you B&H! 5 |
