I often record in my apartment or at the studio where I work - there is a ton of background noise like traffic, air conditioners, and creaky floors. The high pass filter for perfect for filtering those consistent background hums. Of course, a little fancy editing too. Used to mount a 32 TV/DVD combo unit on a wall built with metal studs. I was reluctant to spend the money on this. However, it is very heavy duty and I installed it in just 15 minutes. It was worth the money for the time savings and not having to worry about the TV falling down. 5 |

so I was looking for a sealed unit to use in noisy rooms and on flights, realize that these are not specifically built for air-travel. I listen to a mix of classical, rock, metal, world (Kodo, Tuvan, etc) and was looking for a good unit. I have used this for a couple of weeks now. I find that the headphone is very revealing, badly recorded tracks sound BADLY RECORDED. Quite fast (might give up a smidgen to open back units such as the HD650). The low frequency notes are well defined but this does not pound your head; I was looking for quality over quantity, so, no complaints. Oh, its a tad heavy (does not bother me) 5 |
